mid 70s my dad had a Abbot Farnham Ford Corsair Estate

can't even find a picture of one
in fact, when was the last time you saw a corsair?

Quite recently in Croydon. I couldn't belive how small it looked. My dad had one and, as a kid, I thought it was enormous. Love that pointy nose. There was filter in the fuel tank made of a kind of plastic that used to decompose in petrol and clog the fuel line. Great. Never seen an estate though.

Also... Saw one of those 456 Estates in London last year... looked gorgeous:

Believe it or not, there's a link between the 928 and 456 Estate... they both have the same gearbox!

I've always had a 'soft spot' for these, shame they rusted out. The supercharged 2ltr Volumex version were awesome for thier time.

my first 'quick' car spent more time in the garage than anything I've ever owned, ate front tyres and dissolved in front of my eyes..... cracking car tho, wife would kill me if I got another one.... parts were hard enough to find in '91 when I sold it!

Yes it's a Bond 875, they where fitted with the Hillman Imp engine(875cc) and where quite fast.

I have seen this car in Bob Houghton's workshop in the Cotswolds. Looks stunning in the metal.
