I've added my name too. I enjoyed last year with the variety of the museums, restaurants and the Dutch hospitality. If possible would be good to get a few more spirited driving roads into the mix too. Oh and please organise the weather again too !
Cheers David, next DSR you'll be looking at well over 500 kms of rural road including a bit of Autobahn in the sunday early morning.

For the speedfreax I've the suggestion to split up AFTER that and hoon up to the 'Ring to get you piece of spirited driving. You guys will arrive well befor the gate opens. It's about an hours drive - or less when you're in an Ultima-something - after our split-up-point.

Note: the DSR09 is not a race. Look at it as a meet 'n greet 'n eat weekend driving through the variety of Dutch landscapes and enjoy / discuss eachothers cars. No museums this time.

Hope the list won't fall apart now! wink

Winterswijk: Gulle Waard is a nice place (across the road where Tom lives)

Indeed, I'm thinking lunch then.

But: the much talked over BBQ comes to mind again . . .

What could we do on the meadow with 50 cars and max. 100 peeps?

Or is this a mission impossible? Tom has to agree of course.

Leave the place then in the afternoon: no need for dinner anymore and the Veluwe woods will be 'quiet' to hoon up to the finishline.

Just a thought.

ETA: and nieuwe haring, broodje croquette and how about a real Indonesian rijst tafel instead of a BBQ.

I really want to come, but in something a bit more noteworthy than my Volvo. If I don't have anything by May, I may come along anyway just to view the participants.

Harry? That's a good one . . . a real pity the roads to and fro are amongst the most boring in Holland wink I could ask him to open the doors for the monday.
Or maybe he wants to join in with his Meteor-engined Bent. Believe it or not: that monster is roadlegal.

I'd forget about the BBQ on the meadow and go for the 'Gulle Waard'

"De Gulle Waard" looks promising too, but isn't it to early on the road?

Most of the roads are suited for a spirited drive, but as Dinkel does mention, the DSR is not meant to be a race.

The GW looks like an excellent lunchspot to me! I've seen it before.

In the Mediterranean countries the peeps enjoy their lunches hot : ping! :

. . . and that appeals to me. What also appeals to me is 'taking off' a bit later in the afternoon and have a 8 / 9 o'clock tapas-meal back in Leusden. The roads back 'home' will be a bit quiter also, which is good.

STATUS UPDATE

Hi all, we're in the process of finalizing the route and organising appropriate catering.

To inform the hotels for the two days (friday and saturday) I need to have final numbers to work with.

Please will all who are serious about this weekend PM me before January 7th?
I'll put you on the def-list then.

I'll also send a mailing to all friends and previous DSRers this weekend.

Should be good fun this one!

Best wishes, A.

Hanes is top quality, my frequent worn TunnelRun hoodie is looking as new still!

Subtle or loud - which matches the event more me thinks - is up to you lot: may I have your votes please?

ETA: check page one for status update.
