Not bad just kinda funny...

On a recent trip to London we returned to the multistory where we had parked the car in a space similar to the one that the Range Rover is in, with a concrete pillar to one side. To the other side of the pillar were a family having a minor moderate domestic as the female of the herd did her best to smash the st out of the male's brand new car door as she strapped their spawn in. She honestly caused damage that a dent man could not repair. As he protested to "watch the car", and was hit with all manner of hormonal obsenities, I just hopped into my car (that I'd left plenty of room on the drivers side) and drove forward a few feet to clear the passenger door of the pillar that I'd parked right up against. GF and daughter open the door fully, hop in, and we were off in seconds.

I will deliberately choose a space with a pillar if there is one available ..... Without that pillar there, it would have been the side of my P&J that psycho bh mum expressed her great vengance and furious anger on.

I *never* park in multi story car parks, if I have to I park in one I go to the top floor (above the multi story in my mind!) where there usually aren't any pillers and it's just a like a proper car park. I guess I'm lucky I have the choice.

Plus you get to drive round and round like The Sweeney.

Although I'm too much of a scaredy cat to get much tyre-squeal going.

Punto? She probably only put the handbrake 'normal' tight. A couple of people should be able to push it out of the way.

Alternatively, it looks possible to drive forwards onto the grass to aid escape.

Spotted in my local B&Q car park. Granted it was quiet and there were no other cars near it, but if it was so quiet then why not just park like a normal person?

Haha.. Hardly, I'll try get a pic one night when everyone is home, some tt parks a Citroen spaz bus at a weird angle behind the Suzuki, and there is parking further down the street, but the majority of the tree's on the side where the silver Astra is parked are pretty knackered, slight wind and you get branches making a mess of your car.

There is also the slight issue of cars being vandalised ect, so i would prefer to be guaranteed a spot outside my front door. smile Bit of an old pic below, one of my mates old cars. And yes, I know i live in a st area.

Similar to the 106 earlier, this lady was spottted in Teesside. Was particularly amusing when she couldn't find the exit arrows because she was parked on them smile

Those confusing old junction....parking space things biggrin

In fairness it is straight and between the lines.
They probably thought it was a space for short cars as that's why they've put the dashed lines there. FFS

hehe
Whoa there, that's perfectly acceptable parking.

Everyone does it in our work car park as the in/out is not needed at the same time. Half of the junction is regularly used as extra parking bays everywhere there is a junction in the car park. Only happens when the overcrowded car park is full, of course.

I almost forgot this one.

Parked in not one. But 2 massively wide disabled parking bays. Technically leaving none free although the bays are so big you could and got a car in and fully opened the doors. And you'll notice lots of space just the other side of the "road".

Could be disabled obviously....anybody want to confirm that? Shouldn't be that hard to work out who C.Hackwood in the drift championship is...

I don't have a picture unfortunately, but about a year ago I went to my local Morrisons to pick up some stuff and as I was walking to the shop from my car I saw a guy in an Aston Martin DB9 pull up and park in 4 spaces at once, like this:

| XXX |
+---XXX---+

Fair enough, you've got a nice car but there's no need to take the piss.

I took these in Madrid when I visited a company out there. Pretty much a of these cars are parked.

This white car is parked at the end of a central reservation:

Half-parked on the crossing. Also, the black and blue car in the right hand side of the road are actually parked in the right hand filter lane:

And this one's in the left hand filter lane and half on the crossing:

Or you could always park /on/ the central reservation:

But they do things differently out there smile

To be fair, the Golf didn't intentionally park there.

The Golf parked front-on in a space with a hedge in front. On the slightly lower level, the Merc is parked in a similar way. Turns out that shortly before I arrived on scene, a lady in an old 5-series BM had pulled into the position above, to reverse into the space behind. Unfortunately, she got "R" and "D" mixed up on the 'box, and drove forward, punting the Golf onto the Merc's bonnet, busting it (the Golf's) sump at the same time and covering the Merc in vital fluids.

"As I said before, in this case it's completely acceptable. If you park a battered 406 like this, you're a dick. If you park a McLaren F1 like this, you've got a McLaren F1."

You can fit another 10 cars around there at the very least. Even with cars parked either side you could get a cruise ship through there.

Loads of space.

The Punto could park a bit further back or over the road in front of the Suzuki.

Leave some twigs or wood on to the road where she likes to park, she should avoid it and not be arsed to move it = problem solved. You could even train her a bit with it, move it further back gradually throwing the odd treat.
