Have you driven one? I love mine, but I'd suggest it is a bit hair-shirt for hipsters. Hipsters buy Defenders, easier to live with day to day while in warranty.
I've barely seen one, despite living in rural Dorset. Glad you like yours. I don't think a hipster would drive any 4x4 to be fair ( And a Defender is far too common and "smug married"). It was more the way it uses old tech to do things less well while costing more.

I'm starting to see them more frequently now. There's a few kicking about here in Aberdeesnhire and I spotted a couple in Dumfries & Galloway and in Perthshire while on holiday. I really like the look of them.
Yep, seeing quite a few around Aberdeenshire now, often driven by youngish gamekeeper type guys so most likely from local estates. Silvanus said:
I'm surprised people have seen so many, I spend a lot of time on estates/farms/forestry and have only seen 2 in the south east. Ineos have only sold 738 this year, would I be right in thinking there a geographical hotspots for these, possibly close to the dealerships?
You're looking in the wrong places though. DonkeyApple said:

Definitely not close to a dealership here - nearest at the moment is ~150 miles away in Edinburgh. Although, oddly, there's no Toyota dealer in Aberdeen at the moment either and it feels like every second vehicle I pass on the road is a Hilux. Snow and Rocks said:

Oh I agree with agree with who will buy it and how they will be used. However, it was definitely designed to be able to be a fully functioning work horse, even if very few will be used that way. I personally think they could have done a far mor stylish and functional vehicle that could tackle the rough stuff and Waitrose in equal measures. Although I guess they would have ended up with pretty much the new Defender.
Yup but as a workhorse, something a business buys for its lower paid staff to use it's a complete miss due to being substantially more expensive than pickups and substantially less tax efficient. A few estate cars where the projected image trumps the cost, a few very specialist commercial applications where a pickup genuinely can't do the job and a Unimog is overkill.
For the U.K. it was always about suburban sales, hence the editions on offer aiming at lifestyle choices.

I've yet to see one in Herefordshire.
There are at least two in Hereford as I did a double take when I saw them as initially I registered them as G Wagons in my inattentive mind. Good looking things in a meccano sort of way imo. Great respect to those who have them. I would love one and it would really suit my usage but I don't have the money to afford one.
