The BAD PARKING thread [vol4]

Local coffee shop. This is a drive through exit, (so one way, not that way) and parked in a waiting for order bay.
Did you hang around to see how the Citroen left? It looks fairly tight to turn the car round, and people who park like that aren't usually particularly competent at reversing.Perhaps it went the wrong way through the drive-thru, gave the coffee to the person serving and they gave cash back in return.....

I have never understood why so many can’t reverse. I went bike to HGV3 bypassing a car, and had to reverse by mirrors, and that was a pass/fail in the test.I have always reverse parked for the past 54 years no problem.
This driver seems can’t reverse or forward park, god give me strength.

I find it far easier to reverse park. Being able to see the white lines in the mirrors as you reverse in makes it much easier to get the car straight, and keep the white lines equidistant. There's much more of an element of guesswork when driving in.I have always reverse parked for the past 54 years no problem.

A great many one word descriptions to choose from!I'm always disappointed to see people who appear to have an interest in cars and driving behave as though they don't give a st about anyone else on the road.

I wonder if anyone is actually learning any driving skill nowadays. Nearly every driving school car seems to be some sort of 'premium' hatchback - high spec Golfs, Merc A Class, etc. There's one local to me that uses a Qashqai. Mind you, even a Fiesta nowadays will have hill start assist, auto wipers/lights, active city stop etc. If someone learns and passes their test in a car that essentially drives for them how are they going to manage in one that doesn't?
Sums it up nicely. I once asked my daughter if she ever checks the oil level and spare tyre pressure, she said didn't have to as it was checked when it was serviced............................N111BJG said:
London Gateway Services 3rd May 2022 - Our Tesla driving friend decided to create an extra bay at the end of the row.
However that piece of tarmac is actually the access road.
Yes it is parked, sadly most Tesla's look much the same whether they are moving or stationary
Seriously worrying if Mr T is genuinely paying so little attention that he thinks that is a parking space.

In my defence, it was pouring rain and dark, the car park layout had been recently changed with the old markings still partially visible, I'd been driving most of the day and was bursting for the toilet after getting stuck in traffic round Birmingham. However, I still noticed as I was walking away from the car and managed to move it into a correct parking place rather than just leaving it there.

I think they have the same wonky genetics that people who never brush their teeth have - ‘because anyone who brushes their teeth is guaranteed to die (eventually)’.
