Daily moan, ignorant ICE drivers who not only abandoning their car in one of two EV bays, but make it just about impossible for another EV to get in, almost empty car park as well.
Almost certainly locals who know only too well they are EV bays.
Never going to happen but this and every other kind of mind numbing inconsiderate fkwittery should atrract some serious punitive measures to forcibly remind people of their responsibilities.Almost certainly locals who know only too well they are EV bays.

Public footpath - yes
National cycle route - yes
Used by horses - yes
Main route from a large holiday complex to the beach - yes
Driver of WL19JDX a moron - probably
The gap to the right between the van and a small Cornish hedge was less than a foot wide, still saved them having to walk about 20m from somewhere sensible to park.
Oh look. A couple of VW Transporters parked in a tttish manner. I am shocked. Shocked I say...National cycle route - yes

Would take great pleasure walking down there with loads of shopping bags.
A crab might make it through walking sideways but a badger wouldn't, especially not a mighty one. That looks like a very well maintained AMG so I'm surprised he'd park in a manner that could see it damaged.

Something that crossed my mind today after seeing a disabled badge in the windscreen of an EV, how do wheelchair users get on with public charging? Thinking of the supermarket car parks where the charging points are usually quite a distance from the store entrance. If EV chargers are fitted in disabled spaces I can see none disabled drivers using them anyway if their usual chargers are all in use... Almost certainly locals who know only too well they are EV bays.

Sometimes it's deliberate ' I'm keeping plenty of space so no one opens their door into my pride and joy' type mentality.
Understandable. But the solution isn't to be selfish and inconsiderate. I can't get my head around that mentality, I'd rather have the dings than be a towards others. Would I do it in a busy carpark? No. Empty carpark - why not. The lines are only there to ration space when it is busy.

That said, I once parked in the middle of a Ferrari 360 and a 2020 rangerover. There were loads of spaces left, but. figured neither driver would want to dent my renault megane and damage their car. They probably thought I was being special.

Think they have been overlooked, up here we have a bunch of shops, ASDA, Lidle, B&M and one other, with a ginornous car park, no charging points at all, not that people expect it.BUT who ever installs them, the only two charging in my town available to the public are about a mile away from the shops in a offshore company car park.
If they really want us to join the green revolution, they need to pull their socks up and get some decent charging points installed toot sweet.
Our son drove down toward Cornwall at the weekend, pulled into a charging point only to find it was out of order, fortunately he had the sense not to leave it to get too low to find a charging point.
Big problem in some parts of the highlands as well, no internet which I believe you need to activate the charge. Long live the ICE

That’s why I have a 10 metre Type 2 cable. Park in the next bay along. Almost certainly locals who know only too well they are EV bays.

Dreadful. Nobody else will squeeze their car into that car park since there are 3 bays used rather than 2 if he had parked properly.Had to wait while the driver was trying to reverse into the spot, behind where she ended up parking, before turning it 180 degrees around (now about 5 cars waiting behind me). This was the end result - parked nose out / across white line facing away from where she had started ….
She was totally useless with her trolley as well in the Supermarket - twice had to move it out the way after just been abandoned it mid aisle while she browsed a shelf ….

TBH i would have done exactly the same…a near deserted car park…a nice or at least expensive car….and the certain realisation that had i parked it correctly some gormless idiot would have parked right next to me …..Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
