Erm...are all M5's as unreliable as seem to be the case with the ones you've bought Great Pretender?
hehe

Apparently there are some reliable ones out there, but for whatever reason they seem to evade me!

In fairness, a lot of it depends on how much due diligence you perform before buying. Had I not been in a rush to buy the first car I saw (patience is not a virtue of mine) I'd likely have either bought a higher mileage car with evidence of work done to it, or saved a little more for a v. low mileage minter.

As it stands I bought a car on the cusp of needing some 'refreshment' smile
Do you think E60 M5's are likely to be similarly wallet raping?

Happy to report that other than some repairs I knew needed to be made when I bought the car, mine has been running smoothly. Cue massive disaster ASAP.
Ah the 'Watch this lads!' moment for the 21st century.

At the current rate of spend yes.

However, it's hugely unlikely I'll keep two more months, let alone two years.

Im not a fan of the 'flowers at all. I had the gen 1's on mine and promptly swapped them for ACS type 3's. A clean set of the evo motor sport rims are nice though... or a set of BBS cool

Nope nono

Evo Sunflowers are where it's at.

The only better looking BMW wheel is the M-parallel and possibly the E34 Motorsport avec Turbines.

That is the end of it.

yes

I'm pretty certain that the original 3.0 press car had sunflowers and I think that's what started it for me.

st. That Evo is seriously good looking.

And today I saw someone who had his really neat looking E36 dressed up to look like an ///M until the seats gave it away. What a shame.

But no.1 every time for me thanks. Pref on a saloon (or a touring...).
