Nonsense, what has wearing a T-shirt got to do with being grown up?

Never heard that in my life....
Hmmmm.
I'm 40 this year, female in case you haven't grasped, and am currently sitting here wearing a Thor T Shirt and Skinny Jeans. I don't profess to be grown up. Growing old is compulsory, growing up isn't.
I'm quite comfortable in my own skin and to be honest I don't really care what other people think of me. I've not conformed to other people's ideals over how I should dress or what colour my hair should be for the last 25 years and to be honest I'm buggered if I'm about to start now.
oh i dunno then... the t-shirt thing is different for girls or sommat smile surely there is an equivalent for women though? We all know of at least one woman that dress as 'young' as their daughter? Generally that isn't seen as a good thing is it?

I guess there is a case for mutton as lamb I suppose, I'm in agreement that I'm far too old to wear PVC leggings for example wink
Clothing doesn't really bother me, I was berated and bullied by my own Mum as a teenager for what I chose to wear and it left me with a complex I admit. I wear what I'm comfortable with and don't judge what others wear for the same reason.
All that said any woman who wears leggings as trousers needs to be shot.
wink

BTW I wasn't comparing you to the mutton dressed as lamb woman! I was just saying that I guess everyone acknowledges there is a line somewhere... just differ on where it is

Oh don't worry I didn't take it personally smile
As you say people differ. My Mother still complains that I wear 'odd T shirts' and Metallica hoodies and the like. I do wear dresses occasionally if required but I'm fortunate in the fact I'm a stay at home Mum so I don't need to dress for any occasion and I'm comfier in a hoodie and jeans. Unless I started to wear cute little cardigans and cords I don't think I'll ever be in my Mothers 'acceptable' bracket lol

That's what I was saying? I'm 42 and wear T-shirts too....

I was amazed that the other posters suggested that we couldn't.

I can only imagine how bored other people are by this. It isn't just a PH thing: Have a read if you want, and if you don't that's fine

I'm just starting a module with the open university and there's a bloke I know from elsewhere in my tutor group who has in the past done some of the same voluntary work as me - being engaged in a few consultations with the local authority, invariably for expenses only (plus a few choccy bickies).

In his introduction post he's only gone and promoted himself to "working for the City Council".

It's not just bullst, it's really stupid bullst because the tutor groups are selected by region and the nature of the module virtually guarantees that there will be many others from similar situations who will recognise his name and now know him for a liar.

What a knob.

People like this, who obviously don't need to use their rear-view mirrors. Wiper could have froze I guess, but I scrapped the snow off my windows before starting my journey. Photo makes it looks like theres a load of snow on my bonnet, but there wasn't, I'd brushed it off, rest was frosted in place.

Are you suggesting that holding a mobile phone to your ear and holding a phone conversation, whilst driving, is the same as talking to a passenger? I suppose it could be were you holding hands?

But you don't really need it as long as you have door mirrors...
