What do you drive? How much attention?

I really like that. I need to go and see if I fit in one, but I'm very tempted by the Sport and that's a great colour.
The roof line is really high so most people should be fine. By my reckoning one of -if not- the last sub-1000kg fun hatches, remarkably it's lighter than an Abarth or Up GTi despite the extra size and room. Suzuki also understated the typical standard bhp by at least 10% for reasons unknown.New to me XFR.
Now it has a SC 5.0 V8 with a custom exhaust so naturally it turns heads from a noise point of view.
What I wasn't expecting is how many people have commented on it when it's off. I personally love it's looks, especially in silver with chrome bits and silver wheels and lowered - a nice antidote to the usual pick and colour and make the rest black (like my old car!) Turns out many others do too!

I think some of the cars on here grabbing attention is probably in the wishful thinking of the owners.
I think anything a bit different gets attention in a sea of lookalikes. Doesn't have to be fast or sporty. I'm sure a Trabant would get loads of attention. The majority of convertibles get a few glances. It's a good time of the year to see interesting stuff coming out of hibernation. I will try and contribute later.
I got a lot of attention in my Ferrari 360 CS and weirdly people complaining its too loud!
But not as much attention as when driving my full works 306 Maxi rally car, you cant beat driving along with a fully stickered competition car on the road, especially if I clip on the spotlight pod on the bonnet.
I also find people look at cars because of the colour, I have a yellow Peugeot 406 V6 coupe which is a great looking car and something of a classic now, does anyone else find brighter or unusual colours attract attention?

I remain amazed by how much attention I get for my Alpine A110. I’ve been flagged down my pedestrians asking what it is, mealy all garage attendants ask what it is when I fill up, men (mostly) hang around it in car parks, people give me thumbs up all the time and, most importantly, I get let out quickly at most junctions.
The Camaro gets mostly positive attention and comments everywhere it goes. mostly from younger kids and their parents asking to take their photo with it. also get the most MPG comments in petrol stations and of course the 'is that a mustang?'....
I tend to notice the attention the M4 gets when just cruising on motorways when people come past looking. very mixed views on this one - plenty of thumbs up from white van man and kids tend to love it. have come back to it parked up to find people saying its awful haha. admittedly its grabs attention for 2 reasons - 1) the colour & 2) the grills of course. recently noticed it now gets a lot of positive comments at the motorsport events we go to - assume this is because its now quite a common and successful car in many racing series - great marketing from BMW
My other half's E39 gets load of thumbs up and attention from other E39 drivers and those with cars of a similar age. still a great car to drive and goes under the radar to the average driver.
and my daily ford ranger gets no attention whatsoever which is exactly what its for!
