This is the only Model Y Performance of its kind in the UK
There's a good reason for that. hehe it's got to be like putting racing stripes on a washing machine.

Just so much 'why' rotate

It's obviously awful, but I can see why you'd want to mod them, they're a bloody boring design. Like driving a bar of soap.

Driving a bar of soap could be quite entertaining, especially in the wet.

One way to work yourself up into a lather.

I'll get me coat.

I had one of those, briefly! Donated by my Dad, the generous hero that he is! F’king awful thing, no power steering and decidedly average in all respects. Can’t see the novelty value here.

I think that's a fair price for that car. There might only be one person in the country mad enough to want it... but it's priced fairly. The dealer probably gave £800 for it but a lot of cleaning and a lot of waiting around for the buyer to earn his bit.

Yeah that seems fair enough, assuming the Haynes manual is worth £7k…

Towbar & leather seems an odd spec for Plod? Wonder if it was Highways?

Edited to add that yes, it was!

Probably more appealing than a former Plodmobil then, will have done most of its miles at sensible m-way cruising speeds. Presumably a fair bit of towing and a it’ll have done shedload of idling, but better than being hammered daily and rebuilt half a dozen times.

The only time the oil would have been cold is when they put new in at a service. Probably the only time in its life that it wasn’t running too. It’s still a lot of miles and hours on top idling.

Can you still get away with exporting and clocking or are the car checking services good enough that the history will always stay with it?

It said that it was ex-Highways in the advert. No need for sleuthing.

Says direct from them, so wonder why it’s had two owners - surely they wouldn’t buy used?

They seem to be usually doing 50MPH or idiling, too.

Might make a good export to Africa or similar, but too expensive and too diesel for the market I'd imagine. Always wanted to try an Ex Womble car, see how they do after the mileage. The stretch of M4 in Berks near us seems to be patrolled by X5 or XC90 now. I'm sure it's a nice place to sit for a shift.

Underneath the large size price of £20K it has in small print , "£10K above average" .

That's a lot of miles for a lot of money .

There seems to be a view that “ex police” (or Highways etc) somehow commands a premium, despite the known lifetime of hard use & abuse that many/most of their vehicles will have been exposed to. Wasn’t the whole BMW engines drama a result of plod workshops adopting a less stringent servicing schedule than BMW had specified?

The ones that do get exported are bought directly from the Auctions..? This Dealer has already changed it to retail spec and prepared it so taken the margin out of it to make it worthwhile to export.

Not disputing, but where do you "see" it?
