Nothing too offensive about the car in my opinion - could be a lot worse

If the whole editing team dislike it though - i'd say you need some more variety in the office to remain at the front of the pack in terms of motoring journalism

Dip in form this piece - in fairness as already admitted, should have been a blog

Keep calm - carry on

I NEVER expected to see such a blinkered article. Shame on you PH towers!!!

Beautiful 964, amazing finish of work and sits perfect. I want.

For the purists, how'd you like these apples?:

Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsches are amazing, AND they get used in anger biggrin

very poor editorial with incorrect facts. It may not be to everyones taste and thats the point. Modifying cars is an individual perspective and it is his money and his car. Everyone may be happy in driving a car that looks identical to every other car that came out of the factory but that doesn't make you right more make your opinion more valid.

I dont know the person who owns the car, ive never seen it in real life but at least he is doing something different. Its not what i would do to it but at least i can respect that its to someone elses taste.

the pistonheads bandwagon must be massive.
Good post.

Yep, I'd agree with this.....apart from the front of the pack part.

As I posted earlier in the thread, I'm not a fan of Porsches as a general rule. But the RWB cars are my one exception, I do think they look fantastic!

The 993 Turbo bodied cars look superb in that colour.......

For what it's worth, I really like the car in the video.
It appears to have been lightly modded and tastefully done.
Difficult to tell from a video, but I suspect the workmanship is very good as well.

I'm a big fan of both standard and modded air-coolers as my own Porker demonstrates:

i'm not a fan of modified cars but I think the wheels suit it...it's not that bad, although i'd prefer it higher and larger tyres on it

But just to throw you... we also wrote about this in glowing terms (and a load of PHers told us we were being silly and that is was an affront to the good name of Porsche:

Time for Tea? The Germano-Japanese Porsche

So we don't blindly follow the purist route.

(and when I say the whole editorial team, I mean me, Dan, Garlick and Stuart - We don't have what you'd call a massive team)

The VAD car would be one of the best RWB Porsche ever, if it was a manual. It's about 2nd or 3rd just because of that imo.

What a huge amount of negativity... I thought the maturity of the PH crowd meant less pointless moaning.

First line of that article:

"We're not normally fans of heavily modified cars in the PH office, "

so:

I like it, I have seen far worse atrocities. At least the front bumper isnt covered in hundreds of cheap stickers, the bonnet painted black, a small toy hanging from the rear towing eye and there is no matt black wrap in sight. Nice job I thought. Maybe lose the air ride and the interior neons though!!
