The greatest sounding engine ever was the 1966 Honda V12, the engine that changed everything in F1 and caused Ferrari to lose a faith, the exhausts were tuned like instruments by Yamaha and this engine (which I've heard in the flesh) has a unique and haunting hollow howl.

It simply doesn't do this astonishing motor justice.

Also a Healey 3000 straight six with a large bore Peco is also very haunting...

I've got to go against the grain a little and say I'm not fond of that 355 with the tubi. Naturally I don't dislike it but to me it sounded a bit like a litre bike with aftermarket exhaust I.e. noisy and screamy but without much oomf ( is that a word?)

Max revs on my F355 is 8500 with max power developed at 8200 ........... and I also have a Tubi Evolution fitted ............ and, yes, I wind the windows down in tunnels and drop a couple of gears ............ sad I know but I just can't help myself

355 is my favourite ever car at any price, followed closely by the 993 Porker Turbo..surf for hours looking for clips of cars and car sounds

The 355 is up there, no doubt, wonderful noise.

That's an old video, there was a longer version but it seems to have dissapeared. For sheer volume of noise that f50 is manic. But there are so many, zonda f, murcielago, carrera gt gembella, they all sound good, but for the price no car sounds as exotic as a 355. You certainly ain't gonna get a zonda on your drive for 30 bags of sand!. I'm liking this at the minute sounds like a seventies grand price car:
