Anyone remember the Mirafiori TC from the late 70s. Often came in Orange with black trim. Looked the biz.

This was my Cortina.
I think Orange is a great colour, depends on the car involved. Custom cars, classics, awesome sports cars it is a perfect colour as the cars are designed to stand out and the colour just adds to that positively. A standard car in Orange is wrong in my opinion, like it is trying to be something it isn't!

I was all set to build a red one... until I saw an orange one on the classifieds and quickly changed my mind:

Needs a carbon exhaust now I think to help with the slightly-obvious-but-still-it-works orange/black scheme

Here are a few pics of it. Started as a 4 door 2 litre GXL, then went Brunswick Green, then went Orange with a 3 litre V6, 2 door conversion with mk3 Escort rear arches, then with a 3.5 V8, twin induction with Ram air scoop, quad, 5 inch, stainless exhaust, straight thru, leather race seats and 6 point harnesses, 18's rear. 17's front, black diamond drilled and grooved discs, mk2 escort modified roll cage.....and so on

Nothing more to add to this thread, but some pictures of my P&J. Stunning colour that changes from dark orange to almost yellow in the sunshine. Arancio Atlas Pearl (Lambo orange!..)

No disrespect but this is what I meant. This to me, is an example of a car that should NOT be Orange !!!

There were two orange ones that I could find, both in Leicester. One at Tollbar and one at the OPC. I went for the OPC one despite having more miles due to the fact that I could get a two year warranty on it. Leicester brought the car down to Mid Sussex OPC and I got it from there.

Have to admit that I am loving the orange
