I have had five Audis, three Ferraris, two Astons, two Porsches and a C63 AMG (amongst others). Which ones should I be/was I terrified of?

Just read your blog mate, some nice stories on there. Sounds like you have mixed emotions about the AMG!http://rjmghome.blogspot.co.uk/#!/2012/12/audi-qua...

That the trouble with Audi drivers, they see "underlings" rather than other drivers with exactly the same rights and as much need to get anywhere as anyone else.
The A7 just looks unfinished to me, I love the A5 but don't think the extra two doors were successful.
I don't think they do at all. I think on the whole other people, for some bizarre reason, feel inferior and intimidated. The A7 just looks unfinished to me, I love the A5 but don't think the extra two doors were successful.

TX.
The A7 is one of the few marginally 'interesting' looking Audi models at the moment because it has a hint, only a hint mind you, of cool 70's fastbacks and coupes. I agree though that all this micro-niching on the same platform is making the design samey and tedious. It's not just Audi either, but they are the worst culprits. Where's the surprise and delight? Come on Audi, bring us more UR Quattros, A2s and TTs. Less five door A5 S-lines please.

Hate to appear to jump on the bandwagon but I find this just boring tripe.
Also, anyone noticed the 5300rpm redline? Is that just a 'shop error? Must be right...
have to say I noticed that as well, a lot of red real estate from 5300 all the way to 8000, why not just re-calibrate the scale? Also, anyone noticed the 5300rpm redline? Is that just a 'shop error? Must be right...

Every time I see an A7 from the rear I think 'saggy arse/full nappy'!!
As per a previous post, it just does not look finished off properly, almost as if the body is to big for the wheel base.
Totally agree, the A7 just looks wrong... The Audi front end thing is so predictable now. There has been nothing of any real surprise for a long time now.As per a previous post, it just does not look finished off properly, almost as if the body is to big for the wheel base.

I can understand the logic behind dropping the RS6 Saloon over this, which makes me wonder whether an E63 Saloon is really required along with the CLS63. Heritage dictates that an M5 badge lives on despite the looming M6 GranCoupe. just a thought
The M5 is also supposed to be a practical family car. The M6 GC while beautiful and desirable is less practical (although the boot is huge). Audi have always sold more RS6s as Avants, while BMW have always sold more M5s as saloons.Zod said:

I take your point regarding sales histories of both marques. IMHO most M5s will rarely carry a fifth passenger, so M5 practicality over M6 GC is really rather negligible. Despite my obvious bias for the 6 cab, I agree the 6 GC is a very desirable BMW. So much better proportioned than the 2 door coupe and with it's added practicality, I wonder why anyone would still buy the coupe.
