Hong Kong, there be car-pawn here...

Rupert, these photos are just amazing. What a huge range of stuff you have captured and all are great quality. Really really well done and thanks so much for sharing with us.
I see a fair few interesting bits and bobs here (I live in Amsterdam), certainly more than I did in the UK and Germany. The excitement has been so much that I started a 'spotted' email thread between a few mates but I feel my efforts are utter tosh compared so what I've just seen here.
Great great work, keep it up!

Thanks fellas! Here are some pics from yesterday. I went out looking to find a Pagani near the importer, but there was nothing really around on the roads. There are a few tuning shops around there and these were all quite nicely turned out.

Dayum! One of only 57 RHD GT2s I believe. Porsche aficionados might be able to confirm or correct me. That's a Huarya on the left and the one-off Zonda Absolute on the right with the Italian tricolore.

Scans of the magazine containing my first printed photos I took a couple of months ago for Maxi Tuning out of Mexico, featuring a local HK Toyota Supra. I'm really happy how the photos turned out and hope I can use this as a vehicle to do some more in the future! Now I want to get my teeth stuck into proper lighting etc.

Rupert are you aware of any supercar meets this Sunday?
A few guys from my old team are flying in at the weekend and would be interested.
I haven't heard anything about this weekend. I suspect they will be at the usual place Tai Mei Tuk car park out in Taipo, which is where they went last week, but that's only a guess.A few guys from my old team are flying in at the weekend and would be interested.

I want to like it as I love both the MR-S and Zagato, but I think I have to agree with you. Hey, it's quirky!crazy about cars said:
Very nice photos thanks for sharing!
You can earn big bucks in HK with the right qualifications and experience. I know of a private tutor in HK who easily earns over £100k. Even a lot of middle grade office workers in Central takes home around GBP3000/month.
you will earn that being a tutor in Australia easy and cheaper / easier living. You can earn big bucks in HK with the right qualifications and experience. A decent sparky/ plumber will be getting on for 150k standard (North) - almost double that if your prepared to work remote.
I went from a police officer wage of 60k gbp (lots of overtime- 60 hours week so roughly 100 hours) to government worker wage of 90k gbp (roughly converted) with no overtime - 37.5 hours a week no weekends/ bank holidays and an extra 8 weeks leave (12 total). On top of that slash travel time from 2-3 hours a day to 10 minutes.

It's not easy to make a lot of money in HK unless you are in finance, real estate or manufacturing and then you're going to be wrapped up in your job 27/7. For local people minimum wage here has only just been raised to HK$30 per hour (GBP 2.40p). It's a city of haves and have-nots.

Well not sure about the Northern Territories but my sister is in Melbourne and sparkies certainly do not earn £150k A decent sparky/ plumber will be getting on for 150k standard (North) - almost double that if your prepared to work remote.

Is not an Evo. Neither I nor II. They were all LHD only, and had less subtle body kits. That one's wearing the standard W201 16V body kit (often fitted to lesser models, too).Still nice to see one in absolutely pristine white.

Wow! Speechless. That is a fantastic collection of photographs, you have quite the talent. Loved seeing the progression in your work from the amateur shots at the start to the professional finish photos at the end. Excellent. :-)
