3 years / 30000 miles or so. I was expecting newer from PH.

I would still be driving my 170000 mile 11YO V70 (owned from 6 months old) but the wife wouldn't give it back, so I bought myself an XC90 instead. Now she's decided she needs something smaller! Grrrrr....

20 year old daily just failed mot on rust issues. Now using the 9 year old toy as a daily. Which will most likely end up with rust issues from using it over winter...

Polls are usually skewed as only those wanting to "show off" will usually respond. In this case there seems to be a clamour to show who has the oldest daily driver.
The thread replies bear that out, but not the poll results. In the current economic climate I wonder how many people are keeping their cars that little bit longer than they might normally have done.

XK8 is nearly 13 years old with 52k miles, Chimaera is 17 years old with 29k miles.

There isn't a new car I remotely desire which I could afford (or even if money were no object I think).

I feel a new thread coming on as I'm fascinated by all these old toys people have.

Car's just turned 5 years old with 12,000 miles on it (yes, really!). Bought earlier this year with just 4,000 miles on it...

Bike is 9 months old with 4,000 miles.

Regular use cars are all around 1998/99, 2 with about 43K miles and 1 with 23K miles.
I'm lucky to have a van for work that covers around 25K miles p/a. so I can have fun cars for private daily use.
