"Hey Alexa, what does tacky mean?"

"I found this picture of a BMW M2 M Performance Parts on the internet"
Surely anyone over 11 would feel embarrassed to be seen in public in that?
I’m guessing this is aimed at the Asian Market where they like this kind of stuff. ....

With the previous M2/M4 the m performance upgrades were subtle but looked good.
These are just wildly tasteless imo.
The only thing I like are the different wheels, but I’d want them in silver or gold, black has had its day imo
Also the 90s and Max Power called, they want their designs back.
Maybe if they had two types of M Perf bits one similar to previous Gen where it enhances it… eg side noders, front splitter, different slightly more aggressive rear diffuser, different exhausts, carbon boot spoiler (more of a flick).
Then the full chav/max power monstrosity that this article is based on.
People would be more accepting then at least I’d think as there’s two options rather than a fugly duckling

Totally agree. I'd love to know whether the rear bumber stuff actually adds a significant aerodynamic benefit or whether it's just for continuity of (horrible) design?Maybe if they had two types of M Perf bits one similar to previous Gen where it enhances it… eg side noders, front splitter, different slightly more aggressive rear diffuser, different exhausts, carbon boot spoiler (more of a flick).

Just when you thought BMW couldn't make something any uglier they achieve the impossible lol.
All the council estate chavs will love it though, which is perfect for their target audience!
Hope it's more reliable than my friends 1 and 2 series, always breaking down and emptying their wallets.

Other than the decals, tow strap and spats I think it actually looks better the the standard m2.
Like the exhaust arrangement too. Bit different.
Not the best looking car by far, but at least it looks like it's meant to be a track car now. Still, bit much fo the road and not my cup of tea.
Somehow makes the jutting out square sections look like they are meant to be there at least...
Better than a 420d dressed up in m performance parts that's for sure and on a black car which would hide the weirdness of the square vent openings, reckon its not too bad.

Therefore, to be possess'd with double pomp,
To guard a title that was rich before,
To gild refined gold, to paint the lily,
To throw a perfume on the violet,
To smooth the ice, or add another hue
Unto the rainbow, or with taper-light
To seek the beauteous eye of heaven to garnish,
Is wasteful and ridiculous excess.
And 400 years later he still has a point.

There isnt one single car in the Current BMW range that i wish to even remotely get close to buying, sad state of affairs really ,10 years ago i would have been prepared to buy any of the range from 1 series right through to the 7 . What on earth is going on . . . .
Oh I don't know... the M5 CS is pretty lovely - you'd have to be pretty stubborn to not like that.AA121 said:
