720S would be enough for me thanks. Probably more usable too.

Every thread like this fills with people worrying about the money they'll lose, it's really simple, buy what you can afford to enjoy. If you're too frightened to drive it then you've over spent.
Get something 50 grand cheaper and live!

fksake we're only here for a heartbeat.
Totally agree,

I have friends who have things like a GT4 and are trying to keep the miles down for residuals.

There are cars you can buy for £30k that will give you 90% of the thrill of a GT4.

They bought the cars because they thought they'd retain their value or even go up in value so it's cheap motoring.

I'd rather have a Fiat Panda 100hp and have insane back road fun on a daily basis than a GT4 I used once every 2 months.

Precisely. What’s the depreciation on a 10k holiday?

Or that new kitchen you had last year, or that Michelin * dinner you enjoyed last week ?

We are a long time dead and, generally speaking, our children are far better off than we were at their age.

Spend it, bend it, and don't defend it.

Also there's a small chance, ever so small chance, we experience more inflation after the interest rates have eased, in which case a car is a better place for your money than anything else.

The 720s looks like no other car. No other McLaren looks like a 720s.

A gorgeous looking thing, even if I still find the light area slightly jarring.

The blue spyder with the silver wheels is gorgeous.
Yes, just this.....

I dunno man, I think the 720 is more usable than the 765 for a day to day, going to the supermarket vibe but think the 750 is going to be the absolute sweet spot.

Mental performance, everyday comfort and the last real ICE. That's why I've wasted the price of another house on it anyway!

Just musing, but I do wonder if the 750S is going to have an Aventador S type situation occur to it.

That is, sweet spot of the range, but oddly more rare than any of the special editions (SV, SVJ, etc) despite theoretically being a regular production car.

I've been given a rough date.

I am of course the epitome of discretion so I couldn't possibly discuss it but suffice to say it's pretty soon!

It's pretty soon.

Great focussed review, nice that they’ve put a bit more effort into improving the noise. I have for a time hoped to one day to get into a 720S spider, though they seem to be holding value well.

For those who have ordered this amazing new beast, which thankfully doesn’t change much externally, fair play to you! These things must now be pretty close to supercar driving perfection.
