Lots of extra cars today due to an event, apparently that means parking on a roundabout is OK.

That isn't parking *on* a roundabout - this is...

If available, I often pick the end spot to gain an extra bit of room. Not everyone does this.

Two people jet washing their cars on the road.
They both have two car drives but always leave one car on the road and consider the road outside their house theirs.
This annoys the st out of me.

My parents house has a walkway through to more houses behind and the people who live in those houses always take the road spots, because it's like 4 paces closer, despite getting free passes for the marked bays.

You rock up on a weekend, road is choc-a-block to the point that ambulances etc. wouldn't be able to get down the road. 16 bays free which no normal visitor is allowed to park in and because my parents have a drive, aren't allowed to apply for a bay pass. ARGH.

No pavement on the other side. Empty drive of the house she’s visiting.

Seemed genuinely shocked when challenged.
I suspect they didn't park on the drive as that would involve some some element of reversing

Let's drive up a pedestrian drop kerb even though there's ample on street parking to the left and a car park at the rear. I've had to walk on the grass to avoid them coming toward me on the pavement to access their 'driveway' which they've made by dropping some flags at various angles down. There is no access to it other than using the walk way - the kerb is very steep, I'm assuming they weren't granted a drop kerb due to proximity of drain? Not sure. Absolute inbred nuggets that I've reported to the council several times, but they unsurprisingly don't care.

Admittedly there are some narrow roads in the area including this one, but absolutely no need to leave it like this. And yes that is an empty driveway next to it but I can't be sure the owner of the Fiesta lives there but wouldn't be surprised if they did.

Annoys me less than those who abandon it where it stops and block the end space in a busy car park and especially annoying when it's a nice car.

Does not compute, not seeing a 'nice' car a boggo x3/5

Nice implies anodyne i.e nothing special but not a shed, it did sparkle in the sunshine though. The effect wasn't exactly enhanced by the fashion victim occupants who swaggered/tottered off towards Starbucks.

Looks like there is a post missing between the 2 red and white tapes. Is the driver now, lifting the crossmember and still parking there? biggrin

Working at a house with an empty drive with parking flr 3 cars. House only ever has one car. Drive would put him closer to the access door.

But no. Just stuck it on the pavement like a .

Ample parking on road (it's actually a Cul-de-sac with a small car park at the end)

Mind boggles.

feat. peeing pooch, sorry.

It must be a theme. I found one of my old cars on Autotrader, I always managed to park it on tarmac.

Why not reverse out?, oh silly me, some can’t manage that.
If it drove in, it can reverse back out!
But, having lived in the West Country all of my life, I can affirm that a worryingly high proportion of tourists don't know how to reverse their cars at all.
I have, on several occasions, had to reverse a hapless driver's car back to the closest passing point so that we can both continue our journeys.
I had a holiday cottage in Mid Devon I let out for several years. I had a guest from London call me from the top of the lane and tell me they needed to cancel the booking as they didn't want to scratch their car on the hedges....... In the end they parked in a layby and walked down. The local tractors etc have no issues with it. The horror on the faces of grocks when they realise they need to reverse is always entertaining. Probably similar to my face when I'm negotiating London to be fair.
Honestly, don't blame them. I have bought a large Audi SUV. And the camera software has just given up.

Reversing that ugly behemoth whilst it beeps at you is akin to having a fire alarm sound, whilst blindfolded and trying to find your way out of danger. It feels oddly threatening, whilst also curiously numbing. And by the time you're done, you just want to get out and run. Correct the mistake? No. Flee.

I expect my vehicle to appear on this thread, soon.

Reversing is a lost skill, which some never mastered in the first place, and never will.

Another park where I like, but it's ok though he's got the hazard lights on....
