I agree but seeing as you are qualifying it, I will qualify it further by saying they can only speak from an informed position about the bikes and more significantly the actual cars they have owned or had substantial experience of over time.
Ownership is irrelevant. So what you are saying is some wannabe track day birthday boy jumping in say a typical shagged out incorrectly geoed track day special 200 k mile ragged 360 Ferrari understands the nuances and performance of the car and can extract the best performance from it during a 1 hour drive compared to someone who has owned and driven the car from new in all possible driving situations ?

None whatsoever and that is common knowledge furthermore was made clear from the start.
Let me get this straight. Your argument is that you can’t be considered to be a good driver unless you’ve driven certain cars for a prolonged period, whereas anyone who’s ridden any bike can speak for all bikes immediately. And you know this because you’ve driven a very limited number of cars and never ridden a bike. Genius

I could probably put at least three or four friends of mine in your car and they’d be faster, no doubt at all. Which 'limited number of cars' do you seriously think I have ever claimed to have driven?Careful....and think back to your recent custard call on which you failed miserably.
But we won't mention that again obviously.

Is that genuinely what you construed from what I said?av185 said:

Do you see how your argument falls flat?
You seem to think that because you’ve driven one marque for a period of time it somehow makes you an exceptional driver. It doesn’t.
Is there any point to this now?
When this relates to the road there are only three considerations. The skill of the driver or rider, their attitude to speed limits and the vehicle they are using.
Without a disregard for speed limits nothing else matters anyway. My experience has most people bottle-ing it before they reach 120mph.
Unless you are prepared to stick your finger up to the limits your opinion on this thread is totally pointless.

No st.I am no doubt no more an exceptional driver than you are an exceptional bike rider even though you constantly big up your abilities on here due to your insecurities by posting 'the fastest biker around 100 mph I am awesome' blah blah. Most telling.
Feel free to post where I claimed I was an exceptional driver simply because I only drive certain GT Porsches.
Your memory appears to be failing. Have you forgotten you failed your custard test of me proving my garage one of which is a grigio titanium 458? I believe that is one of Ferraris finest although a Speciale is shortly to replace it. Would you like to fail a custard test on that too?

But in the main the skill of the driver or rider and attitude towards speed limits has to be assumed to be equal before the subject of cars v bikes is discussed.av185 said:

You seem to really struggle with the whole “awesome” thing. It’s an in joke. It’s also getting boring saying this every time as you are too thick skulled to let it sink in. I’m a middle aged fat bloke who enjoys riding, tracking and racing bikes, that’s about it really. One Ferrari doesn’t make you an exceptional driver either.
You seem to be defeating your own argument. Just to remind you though, I drive more than I ride.

Hang on!I thought a Rosso Corsa 458 was the best 458?!?
Does that mean I need to consider colour, as well as engine specification, as one of the performance benchmarks when purchasing my next car?

I am awesome by the way.
