I’m amazed those level of discounts exist on such high value cars. You’re talking 40% off which seems bonkers. We sometimes get 20% off a Renault rofl
It does depend on a few factors, such as if there is over supply or low demand for a particular vehicle, the asset finance companies will be given healthy volume discounts to get vehicles moving on lease deals. Especially when they are "funded internally", through Daimler Fleet Management for example - discounts are effectively wooden dollars within the larger business group.

We've even got a number of vehicles on "negative holding cost" - where we have sourced them new for less than what their future value is. It could well be these GT Coupes are a marketing loss leader for high profile end users, but the example numbers are not far off what I can see on other high end AMG products.

TGE did say the AMG GT was from Mercedes Bridgend who are owned by Merc rather than just franchised, so that may relate to the deal being good too?

Not at the same price-point, but anecdotally, my dad had an SLK on lease a few years back, it wasn't an advertised deal - he was looking at finance on them at Mercedes Wolverhampton and ended up going through their own leasing system on a new stock car - ended up being better value..

I've not watched the clip, but MB Bridgend is part of the Sinclair group and family owned to this day, but they will be able to obtain some of the better supply terms available to larger dealer groups, as well offer healthy dealer discounts.

It shows how ridiculous the list prices have become though, doesn’t it?
Yes I agree. It does still feel odd selling cars with £20k list prices and £4k deposit contributions rofl

Seems Lee Lockwood has sold his 170k miles automatic Mercedes C220 coupe back to the dealer due to the number of issues it is having (who guessed......).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_ktETBGxrY

And has bought an Audi A5 3.0 Tdi that has been remapped and had an EGR delete. I am certain this is going to be a paragon of reliabilitity, and in no way soon to be followed by a video telling us the EML is on/clutch has gone/massive coolant leak and over heated/Turbo has failed/burning lots of oil etc.

A fair few people here have mistakenly identified TGE's Merc as a GT C, it's not it's a base AMG GT Roadster. The line-up is desperately confusing but it goes:

GT (Coupe & Roadster)
GT S (Coupe & Roadster)
GT C (Coupe & Roadster)
GT R (Coupe & Roadster [750 units])
GT R Pro (Coupe [750 units])

Nothing down, 700 quid a month for 12 months, and 10k miles.. that's an insane deal!
Where the hell did he get that deal!
I'd be up for that!
I think half of PH would..
Sounds even better than that Aston Martin Vantage deal before Christmas - £1,000 down and £1,000 a month for 24 months..

That deal is now done, and wasn't as crazy as the 10k down and 1000/month on a 600LT I've heard on the grapevine!

I did wonder why it has the ugly exhaust pipes.

Slightly wider track than the standard car and rear-wheel steering as standard too.

In which case the manufacturer support is going to be well over the 25% example earlier.

12m & 10k value is 62k, so a 55% residual value hit in year one... Ouch.

That's why they've given it to him cheap - try to create a bit of demand to hopefully shore up the depreciation.

You didn't get a penny off a single car??
I'm sure that's true but I find that very hard to believe.
