A4 MEN, and ‘adjusted’ to read A AMEN, on a 992 Porsche in a bromsgrove today.

Even had the car badged as a Turbo S when it clearly didn’t have the usual TurboS side vents!

Ok, I am confused - what is the deal with this plate?

https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/auction/lot/lot-76-11...

'A History of Motor Vehicle Registration in the United Kingdom' by L.H.Newall (page 123) says FU* plates were issued between March and April 1939 by County Council of London, but "FUC not alloc[ated]." (If I am reading it correctly, of course.)

I am therefore confused!

I may want it because I am a child tongue out but £4k opening bid seems pretty strong... lol
