My 164 Cloverleaf was perfect though, everything worked! Although it had a very pampered life before I bought it. One of only 2 cars I regret selling.

A 164 Cloverleaf in Alfa Red with tan leather would be in my lottery garage

Is that the one wit the F1 engine in it?

I’d love one, but a really good one must be very rare now, and consequently, a good price.

Yep... 2 for sale on here, both Japanese imports, neither in the right colour, both LHD, 13-15k.

I (briefly) had a GTV, it was full of surprises like will it be unlocked with the windows wide open in the morning laugh
It just wanted to show everyone its lovely interior. How adorable.

I bet a Toyota has never done that.

True laugh

I had a new Blackline GT Coupe, that had worse panel gaps than most of the 964 backdates! All 3 of my 159's were pretty much spot on. Other than the one that left me stranded on the A34 with less than 3000 miles on the clock...

To be fair I worked for Toyota and had one of the first of the most recent Avensis as a company car, it Shredded an aux belt and the engine shat itself at 700 miles. Left me stranded in Ipswich town centre on a Friday night as it was the first one that the recovery company had seen and sent a truck that was too short.

Toyota got wind and took it back to the factory in derby to inspect. It isn’t only Alfa’s that have problems (although the engine was the BMW diesel!).

I've had a post deleted from here and I have to say I'm feeling quite proud. I would post a picture of the deletion email notification but I dont want to deliberately flout the rules. Especially now that I know I am being monitored.

My one trip down Alfa lane wasn’t pleasurable. A 156 selespeed, that had 2 engines, an ECU and countless gearbox fixes over the 4 years/70k miles I ran it. Oh, and the clock drained the battery if it stood for more than 3 days and it wouldn’t start. The dealers were useless... it was off the road at least 6 months whilst I had it.

Lovely to drive though.

ATM... a post from this thread? What could possibly warrant deletion from here?

Some luverly posts there chaps, (sorry ATM!!). Just noticed Mr leno has been trying out some very thread material. Unfortunately he doesn't seem to drive the 131 as far as I can see (my old Man had a Supermirafiori in VERY brown) which is a shame so I s'ppose I'll just have to rough it with the S4.

Cracking wasn't it Loon. Sitting on the fuel tanks, marvellous, just like the old MOD Landies and the rifle rack just above...! They were possibly quieter though.

I’m in dublin this week and walked past this dealer last night.

It looks like a very thread style of dealer:
Bristol, 964, 997, G class, E21, Merc R230 SL, with a Morris minor and a 6 series BMW (E63) inside. I approve all round!!
