I would not have wanted to be stopping that, not at that speed! Would have been more impressed if he'd rolled it back!

No idea how accurate this is, but one of the comments below the video suggests the driver was told "If you don't know how to drive you should have said before".

Saving face is a big part of Indian culture, so I can well believe both the driver not wanting to tell the other men that he couldn't drive, as well as the driver then driving it home (or to another garage for repairs) where he can either stay silent on the matter or claim a truck hit it or he drove it into a wall to avoid hitting a child who ran out.
