I organised a charity night with him at the BRDC Silverstone in 2011 and got to know him quite well a few weeks before during a lunch in Surrey with my late friend, journalist/author Alan Henry. Damon asked if he could have a drive in my Evora. Who was I to say 'No'. He was gone a long time...and loved it !

I always have a peek at the Bonhams Festival of Speed auction which is held in a marquee attached to the rear of Goodwood House.
In 2013 I watched an ex-Fangio 1954 Mercedes W196R sell for £19.6 million. Quite exciting !
