Top one is a Mitsubishi FTO GPX. There used to be so many here, but now they're a rarity. Cool looking cars IMO.

The green one is an early-90s Toyota Levin with a couple of mods...

Thanks! So, you need to pay First Registration Tax (a % of the list price or market value) on any previously unregistered car in HK. Are you sitting down...?

Private cars:

(a) on the first $150,000 (GBP 15,000) = 46%
(b) on the next $150,000 (GBP 15,000) = 86%
(c) on the next $200,000 (GBP 20,000) = 115%
(d) on the remainder = 132%

Motorbikes are a flat 35%

So, as you can see some owners choose to 'opt out' of paying the tax by driving their cars on a trade/dealer plate - this is obviously only allowed as a dealer moving a car from one location to another, so if caught then there's a chance to incur penalties.

Nobody asked for this (and I am starting to dust off my flame suit), but it's almost guaranteed that some of you enjoy two wheels as much as you do four. So, we thought we'd share with you some of our other photos that we take when doing car images. Not a massive expert on bikes to be sure (although my photog partner in crime and I have owned a Monster, W650 and an R6 (the one with gold wheels below), but based on my pretty slim knowledge I think that some of the stuff here ticks some boxes.
