Volume V indeed. Out of interest - why do threads need multiple volumes?

Anyway, that aside; following some suitable Man Maths, I bought another BMW yesterday that I mentioned previously in Vol IV:

Gents, I have taken a bit of a shine to a very cheap but mint Volvo 960. Do I buy it and take it to the Airport at the weekend hoping it doesn't die, or wait till I get back and keep my fingers crossed nobody else would be daft enough to buy a 15 year old 3.0 saloon car?

Neil, Fünfleashment y/day; f@ck - like tupping Heather whilst swigging vats of iced Stella, listening to Molly Hatchet whilst admiring your mullet, Bateman style, in your floor length cupboard mirrors.

Time for a facial balm.

hehe

A mate bought one identical to that for under £400 and it is still running perfectly, the one I have found is newer and even nicer. I'm going to go and poke at it properly tomorrow with some pennies in my wallet and find out how long they have had it and how much they want to take my car (i'd even consider a -ve px value) to save me insuring 2 of them.

Was indeed posted in a previous fable, concensus was that it was that cheap due to DKR and that alone

Just bought this, my own little piece of bargain bargedom...

Amazingly, no wheelarch rust. OK, so it's the 220, but having been wound up by people selling 300s (they're either big money for average cars that should be more like £1500, or being sold by irritating wideboys who've added 3-pin alloys and who refuse to haggle as they want to get their money back from said 3-pin alloys), I compromised. Thing is, the 2.2-litre 16v twin-cam is more powerful than the loping 2.3 single-cam it replaced, and a lot more economical.

I also don't have to change my username. Waft on! I pick it up on Saturday.

Well this morning an early blast was called for to blow away the Monday cobwebs.

Noise like a C Type on acid, grunt like a TVR and brakes from the 50's all add up to a whole load of tweed like hooligan exploits

I took a couple of dawn raid pictures for your perusal......

pingin' and tickin' after having it's legs stretched on the local b-roads
