The cost of this roller may well be the tiniest drop in his ocean but but it still doesn't make it right to treat the car as he has done, and it certainly isn't cool. He clearly has absolutely no feelings for this car as for him it's just a tool therefore he treats it, like a tool. smile
It's a car. I love cars, but they don't have 'feelings'. Did you think Herbie was based on a true story?
I refer you both to my recent post wink

I think there is a huge difference between hooning around on a grass lawn and taking part in a serious competition, specially a desert rally abroad i.e. Paris/Dakar. Actually i think the old rollers in those pics look great and have real purpose to them in the context of their settings and usage. I agree, good on them.

Comparing this though to churning up a grass lawn....C'mon!!

You have very specific rules about what can and can't be done with nice cars.

Surely the reason you cited for not liking the video (that it is an expensive, prestige, sought after car) must still apply to the photos above. But you say that it's ok, as long as you're really abusing it, and not just making it a bit muddy?

This is what grown men get up to when there's no H&S adult supervision to interfere. It's like that chap Carrol who won the lottery really, just with more money, but either way a fantastically good waste of time.

That Roller is pocket change next to drag racing a 250GTO against a GTR and a Polaris buggy. What a life.

My Jag just got an e-mail from the Rolls Royce, it reads as follows:

"Woohoo!

Man have you seen the video my owner put up? I had such a hoot. While all my family potter about ferrying wealthy and celebrity types about and never having fun I've been playing.

I had no idea what he was up to when we pottered onto the grassland but he let me go as fast as I wanted, I went sideways and everything! Lots!! It felt dirty but at the same time good. Let's face it I've got huge power and never get to go potty and do anything different. I felt so free smile

We splashed through some massive puddles and then he let me smoke my tyres a bit too. It was fabulous. The GTO is really miffed as he's just a bit too old and precious to be allowed such fun.

I hear you went a bit sideways on some wet cobbles last week, bet that made you smile a bit too wink

I need a good bath now, snow foam and at least two buckets with any luck!

Keep it fun, RR biggrin"

There you are, who says cars have no souls wink
Love this, im now imaging my broken landrover talking to the broken MG in the barn next to it, going on about how ive spent all day trying to fix it and the mg moaning that ive ignored it and just left the dust sheet on for weeks!!!

Brillant!!

I'm surprised at how well it actually drifts, awesome stuff. Got a bit hairy when he aquaplaned though hehe Don't actually suppose it's done the car any damage, it's built like a tank anyway, quick wash and it'll be good as new biggrin

So if we're all allowed to have our own opinion, I'm allowed to think you're a cock smile

And I wonder how many won't need to agree to disagree with me.

Happy Monday Sir-Cock-A-Lot!

I don't care if you think i'm a cock, that's absolutely fine and i have no problem with that, but it has to be said that it probably takes an even bigger cock to know one!! smile
