I can't see any way anybody has paid £1450 for that MGF.

We'll see it again, on Gumtree or something.

Going rate for that on eBay was about £400, as it had no T or T!

Bloke tastelessly modifies his car with chrome and gets carried away with the description on eBay, PH rips him a new one.

Its a matter of context.

I think the issue here was not necessarily the tastlessness of the mods to the MGF, it was the context in which they were being sold to us - 'ferrari style', 'ferrari red', etc, etc. The picture painted was not matched by the car itself.
