Lynchpin of British motoring, haha, oh WOW! You mean the same guys who used to strip so much weight out of race cars and their components that meant they were no longer safe to be used? As in, no longer "fit for for purpose". I thought PH loved safety though? Alternatively, stop with all the negative comments and sniping people and give them a chance. Hell, they could have just seen all the negativity and decided not to develop the new Exige, but thank goodness they did. I m not sure if your just an 18 year old with your comments and if you are then I suspect your views will change, but if you are much older then.......there may be no hope. I would be the last to knock anyone who has a runaround they paid £1K for and whilst you can patch it up lets see what you have in 18 months. Also why are you bothering to comment on a Lotus thread when you rated the Elise a 0 on the pistonhead meter (its a rhetorical question not one I am asking you to answer)But in the mean time a 42 year old Lotus that can easily be maintained and repaired is being offerd for £34,000 http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/c...
I see that a 1983 Golf Mk1 is £12k and falling fast most of these range from £660
If Lotus do go to the wall, the cars out there will get more valuable particularly the older more niche cars go and get your facts strait. As I have said before nothing is forever.
In the mean time I will enjoy my Golf, and my Lotus's and not worry what happens to the manufactures of either.

I think everyone, including PH, should be aware of the power of gossip and the internet.
It is interesting that one one hand we are allegedly car enthusiasts who dream of a new Lotus Espirt, but in the next breath we choose to run a misleading article that could quite easily make the life of Lotus as a company, just a bit more difficult.
Regardless of whether one is technically 'justified' to run the article, sometimes considering the moral greater good, wouldn't go a miss.
It is interesting that one one hand we are allegedly car enthusiasts who dream of a new Lotus Espirt, but in the next breath we choose to run a misleading article that could quite easily make the life of Lotus as a company, just a bit more difficult.
