3 things you Love & Hate about your car..
Discussion
Cinqy Sporting
Love:
1. Sounds brilliant, screams round to 7500rpm, pops, bangs, crackles, spits the odd flames on overrun
2. Handles like a go kart
3. Puts a big grin on my face still after nearly 9 years and 120000 miles
Hate:
1. Rusty patches are starting to come through
2. Suspension is to hard to be used daily ideally but is only car at the moment
3. Rear calipers seem to need replacing nearly every other year

2005 Civic Type R:
Love:
-The engine
-The gearbox
-Thrashing the absolute balls off it with no real remorse.
Hate:
-The interior is rubbish, along with the worst stereo I've heard so far.
-The turning circle is truly dreadful
-The lack of torque in day to day driving is very annoying

Gearbox
Harman Kardon Sound System
Concierge service
Hate
No Autozoom on the £1K Plus pro nav
The key/ ignition. Why have a key that you need to press to open the door then no need for it to start the car.
No speed limit info in the £1K Plus pro Nav (it's an additional £250) My wife £500 Skoda unit has it all as standard including the Auto Zoom
Actually the more I think about it....the Pro Nav is a bloody rip off!!!!

Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC (yo) Sport
Like:
Efficient engine (45-46 mpg regularly)
Comfortable to sit in (far more so than my wifes previous cars, a mk 4 golf and her current BMW 1 series)
easy to look after
Dislike:
-Slightly sticky throttle body from a closed throttle. This can be adjusted out, which I've done once, but I'm not sure how far I can go without bothering the TPS
-rattles here and there
-sort of floppy gearshift (my old man informs me Type R gearboxes are beautiful things)
All in all it's a good car. Definatly a sheep in wolfs clothing.

1. People confuse it for a 2.0
2. Analogue Driving experience - Hamster described it as Fred Flintstones car.
3. Flat Six howl when pressing on*
Hates
1. The "what do you replace it with question?"
2. It's a PITA when cold, which is every morning...
3. The stereo! who'd spec Sat Nav, Crazy 4r5e Red Leather interior heated seats and not go BMW Professional Hi Fi? previous point 3 sorts this out

Audi B7 RS4
Love;
- Aggressive styling
- Aggressive sound
- Seats/Interior
Hate;
- The fear of some little scrote robbing the car or the seats
- The general running costs, Audi servicing costs are obscene and I get 18mpg most of the time
- Speed limits

Not an especially exotic car but it's my one...
Ford Fiesta 'Red Edition' 1.0 Ecoboost
Loves:
1 - The engine. It makes some daft turbo noises and goes surprisingly well for a small turbo unit. Unlike the ST you can use nearly all the power all the time and not risk too much trouble.
2 - The running costs, £0 tax and 45mpg (I've had 55mpg on a run) for similar performance to proper got hatches of old.
3 - Surprisingly refined. A fair better ride than in the ST but more sporty than a normal fiesta. It's great to throw it around and holds well (though a fair amount of understeer if driven with little thought...) but will still be a comfortable (relative) for a 300+ trip.
Hates
1 - The looks, 'Chav Pack' as I call it. Not a fan of the black adornments, but still looks better than the 'Black Edition.'
2 - People thinking its an ST or that I have it as I can't afford an ST... I can, I just didn't like the one I drove that much and my dad running one at the same time, came to the conclusion this is a pretty damn good compromise.
3 - The economy. I have no issues with the avg range of between 45-55 I get. I'm yet to have it drop below 40 (driving like I've stolen it) but I feel a bit cheated by Ford when I know of STs that are doing 38mpg...

2009 MK6 Golf GTi in lease deal Red, 18" Monza Wheels
Like:
1. The colour suits the car and wheels
2. Reasonably brisk
3. Driving position
Please sort this Mr VW:
1/. Long brake travel
2/. Traction a little poor, even though I have turned the electronic diff settings up with Vagcom.
3/. Enable left foot braking to be used. In fact, it's impossible to do a proper 180 degree handbrake turn without the traction control ste kicking in, resulting in a nasty 90 degreee effort.
The dislikes are all really 1st world issues and easily ignored in day to day driving.

2012 VW Passat TDI
Like
It's very refined for motorway cruising
No matter how hard I drive it, it won't drop below 35mpg
It has a surprising amount of kit as standard on it - DAB, electric seats, cruise, etc.
Dislike
It's flipping long, and there's no parking sensors, so reversing is a bit of a guessing game even after 3 years of getting used to it.
Loads of people have one - rare and cherished it is not.
Driving a VW means I have to use the VW dealer near to me, who are morons.

986 Boxster.
Love:
Steering/chassis
Build quality- Running costs are surprisingly modest, things don't seem to break without good reason though I do like to be a bit proactive with maintenance.
That I can never walk away from it without looking back at it and smiling.
Hate:
Stonechips
It's a PITA to get to some pretty basic things to work on it, though once you've gotten to what you want it's not that bad!
20-25mpg and 5,000 mile service intervals aren't great for the level of performance on offer, especially compared to more modern cars. It's frustrating as our other car goes for nearly three times as long between services and costs half as much in consumables when it does need doing.
