I’m sure I read that Ryan Giggs owned a 22b once.
I can remember disliking him even more when I heard that at the time. From what I recall I also remember reading something about him being told sell them by Fergie as the heavy clutches were being blamed for his hamstring issues.

I've read that it was having so many different cars with different pedal layouts, but yes it was thought to be impacting on his fitness to play.

John Taylor, the bassist in Duran Duran, with his Aston Martin DB5 (pictured outside his Mum’s house I believe). Remember being very impressed as a teenager that a fellow Brummie had managed to get one.

Keith's first Bentley 'The Blue Lena' which he bought new in 1966, if only it could talk...

Recently restored and sold for £760k...It was originally ordered by a Mr. Mason, who cancelled the order after it turned up at H R Owen in Mayfair, which is where Keith bought it from. He kept it 'til 1978, by which time it had been battered and repaired fairly often (wonder why? biggrin) but replaced it with another example of the same model.

On a different note, Byrds singer Gene Clark owned a Ferrari 250 Europa GT, which was incredibly rare even when it was new; does anyone know where it went?
Great story about Keiths Bentley. His bodyguard/minder collected it from the dealers and drove it to France, where upon Keith took over, from there they went to Africa for a few months in it. (Might not be exact, but pretty close, his was a great book).

Here is a fuzzy video of the Beatles in George's F1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOeqXk9b2bM

It was at the start of the video to their 1994 release "free as a bird" I can't remember the song at all but certainly remember the video, or at least the first few seconds

Macca's Radford and DB6 outside his home in St.John's Wood...

I remember reading years ago when Paul McCartney's DB6 came up for sale that he wrote Hey Jude in that car. Apparently he was driving Julian Lennon out of London to see Julian's parents. Julian was upset because his parents were divorcing, and Paul started singing to try and cheer him up. He recorded it on the cars 8 track.

Seems Giggs passed on his experience to Bale:

Flappy paddles mean heavy clutches are less of an issue.

About a decade ago I drove a Kangoo van with possibly the stiffest clutch pedal I've ever encountered. I said to my colleague that it was probably what a Lamborghini clutch felt like. I meant a Lamborghini like a Countach not a Gallardo.

I actually seem to remember a video with him and an Escort RS Cosworth but can't see to find that one
He definitely has a Sierra Cosworth - Saph I think. Bumped into him at Motorsport Live @ Birmingham NEC many years ago and he was such a nice bloke. Talked a bit about cars and he seemed to love Cossies. I saw him waiting outside for a car park shuttle bus after doing an interview for one of the stands inside. IIRC he had a nice smelling joint on the go

Roy James E type as it gets seized by the police after the train robbery .
And the same car after restoration a couple of years ago .
In the same garage was David Bowie's E type and when I worked for them be sold a Bentley to Roy Wood .
We also had the MK2 jag from Long good Friday . The boss hired out an XK120 for a video by the group 5 star and he and his brother ended up with parts as mechanics in the video . We also looked after the red MK2 that was the giveaway prize by Practical Classics mag years ago .

My Dad once bought Lee Clark's (Ex Newcastle midfielder) E65 760LI back in about 2006, from Fawdington BMW in Newcastle. The number plate was LRC 408 before being transferred to something else.

He sold it to a friend of a friend about 10 years ago and it was subsequently written off by a 4x4 whilst parked somewhere in north London frown

Way back in the late 90's a famous boxer (I think Frank Bruno but can't remember) complimented my Dad on his 190E 2.3 Cossie outside a petrol station somewhere in London. I think he said whoever it was was driving an SEC.
