I'm sure there's a guide someplace but what is Cat N compared to other categories? Is it a bad one? That car looks ok. I'd nearly buy just to give it a good scrubbing hahahaha.
Seems to have some nice options like heated and cooled seats and they seem to have the massage function too. Also keyless entry and start, although I see the key in the dash so maybe it's not working. Also the other options might not function either.
The radio station is quite apt for anyone driving this.
A cat n is non structural damage looking at it probably the front wing

This thread is moving at a fair rate just now , I’m struggling to keep up. I haven’t ever seen so much drool worthy content mentioned . Still best thread on here though .
Ps where do you buy these brave pills you’re all on ? Or does it just proportionate to a healthy bank balance ? ‘ normal ‘ cars cost enough to run I find ...
Basically, we're all idiots.

Just because no-one has posted a pic of an E39 Touring - here's how a big engined petrol car can look...

I am but a glimmer of potential stubble-on-the-horizon compared to the titans of The Thread, but I'd say:

No brave pills, Percy.

The barge approach varies, between patrons, from near-shedding to the pursuit of better-than-new nirvana (yes, I'm looking at him ), but I think the common thread running through our individual doses of lunacy is this:

It's 'better' to run an older barge than spend the same, or more, on a forgettable car. Even with the inevitable repair bills, you may end up better than equal on cost, and be driving something more comfortable and characterful than if you went for something nearly-new.

In my case, I have a twelve-year-old Skoda that's been pretty reliable over the last 11 years and 110,000 miles, is worth nearly nothing to anyone but me, but I know it's in decent shape. I then fell under the barge-thread spell and bought a Mercedes W124, which has cost me a goodly amount but is an interesting hobby and led to an incredible road trip last summer. It's on my driveway now, and I'm busy plotting how to spend more money and take more time improving it, when really I should get that worrying driveline noise attended to first.

Then there's the -14p Lexus, which has soaked up some cash in the last four months (thankfully I can't count) but is a wonderful lockdown-errand companion. I went out earlier - to pick up a free potted tree Herself found on her walk this evening - and just enjoyed the inimitable rumble of the V8 as I pottered over the local speedbumps.

And I wouldn't have enjoyed that if I'd been sensible, would I?

I'll check in to this volume with the jaunty information that I brimmed my 100litre tank shortly before the entire world went home, at c. 128p, and have been nowhere since. I'd love to be taking advantage of the 103p-ness.
This sounds familiar... I'm going to say FFRR.

The 30D engine is meant to be a good reliable engine as most of the era were, don’t personally get the lovely m sports styling and m parallels on a diesel though, within minutes in sitting in it you’d wish you’d got the 530i I feel
I think the M styling and parallels looks amazing, don't see why being an oil burner should detract from looking good
I put about 45K miles on one a while back.

It's no slouch. Even sounded pretty good.

Up until a truck rear ended me on the M1 one sunny morning.

I really shouldn't like that - it's an aging, fragile monster with aftermarket paint... But I love it.
Factory paint!! Someone made full use of the Autobiography spec by the look of things. I bloody love it.
Speaking as a past & present L322 owner, that's VERY expensive for the year and mileage, and as we all know, options are worth zip at resale, even shiny £10k ones.

I love my banger barges and I am always broke. But that I am sure is coincidence not causal connection.

That CL500 is astonishing value for money. Who gives a st if it breaks down before you get home? £795? That's, like, one tenth my overdraft. OK, OK, one twentieth. And full Werthers, to boot. According to the 'Trader, cat N means the vehicle has suffered some damage, probably in an accident, but not to its structural frame or chassis.

Mind you, the ad says "smoke free" but what is this we see on the back seat? Could be a packet of Top Trumps, I guess... or maybe the owner likes playing bridge?

Brilliant. You could buy it run it for five months and twenty nine days and hand it back as miss sold. Seller says smoke free in his Ad, but checkout the 17th photobiggrin

I'm sure we all know this but N is None Structural, S is Structural.
Replacing the old Cat D and C, respectively.
But that C215 at that price, I wouldn't care if it had its own classification of Z!

Anyway, apropos the revised Corona lockdown limit, I present this -

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-A8-S8-QUATTRO-FSI-...

Very much not my cup of tea but thought it *may* find some appreciation here.
DitchFinder 3000 tyres hardly inspiring.

Ouch I hope you were ok after that bump. I presume the car and as written off? What did you replace it with? Your username suggests to me a Merc 55 maybe an E55?

Google, from here: http://www.landrover-center.com/news/Range-Rover-L...

Now I like a Rover 800. This guy however has been on the glue regarding his prices. Doesn't half spout some utter ste in his adverts too.

Rover 827 Vitesse. Starting bid of £10k, sheer lunacy.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROVER-827-VITESSE-66000...

Rover 827 Sterling. Nowhere near minty fresh and would probably need a right good few quite chucked at it to get it there. Starting bid of £3k. GTF!
