Another vote for the fords to have continued to be RWD

I’d of loved the Mondeo mk4 RWD with the 5 pot 2.5t engine, best engine they had after the cosworth and both not their own laugh
Not a bad shout, the ST220 would have made an excellent RWD car too.

So an S15 Silvia then?
Which is heavier, turbocharged and RWD, yeah just like a 'teg.

I'll say it again, just no. The ITR is best as a FWD car, and I say that having owned plenty of RWD stuff too.
I must admit sometimes I think people get carried away thinking everything would be better RWD , a DC5 is a wonderful thing just as it is. I don't expect to "convert" anyone as such but if you think you hate FWD cars & haven't driven one with a decent chassis & limited slip differential, it's well worth giving one a go:-)

You may not be aware that in Japan you can buy Nissan Silvia S15s with the SR20 N/A 160hp or the tuned Autech version with 200hp N/A which is within 50kg of a DC5 Integra.

Agreed. I do believe some people are just rabidly anti FWD and will just say that everything would be better as RWD but honestly I don't think that's the case at all. I saw someone else suggest a Mini Cooper S, yet for me that's the last car that should be as the original was very much a FWD car which gave it is character, and secondly it would be lethal to drive as RWD in my opinion.

I'd love to have my Calibra converted to RWD. It's been done before using turbo floor pans that already have a prop shaft and I'm sure rotating the engine 90 degrees anti clockwise wouldn't be that difficult! It'll be on my list of lottery cars..

Agreed x2. There's some stunningly capable FWD cars out there.

Agreed x3, I think I remarked similar a few pages back.

I’ve owned FWD cars and FE/RWD cars. They all have their plus points and I’m obviously not apposed to either.

My current car is a diesel C Class. I have to say, it does have a lovely balance to it which wasn’t present in my previous car....a MK5 Golf GTI.
