Your initial post first few words were “ Not an advocate of fronting but being realistic “ - the word but stands out to me at least.
I’m sorry but if you cannot or will not try and understand my comments in response then I won’t waste any more of my time or yours. Clearly you don’t want to believe anything I’ve said which is obviously your prerogative.
We don’t actually know if the OP was even “ guilty “ of this.
Not sure why though talk of “ interviews “ is something you find so difficult to comprehend though especially if you worked for an Insurer.
But let’s just leave it there as clearly we are looking at this entirely differently.
Have a good evening.

What a useless post.
If you have information that you want to share then do so. If you don't want to share the information, then why bother posting?
Doesn't take much digging into their post history to establish that they're full of it.If you have information that you want to share then do so. If you don't want to share the information, then why bother posting?

No ones given any examples of how they could investigate and prove fraud
If an Insurer is suspicious about the original details given then “ interviews “ will take place with the main driver and the named driver - separately. Said investigators will also have looked / be looking into their personal details.
Suspected Insurance Fraud investigation doesn’t just rely on someone in the Claims dept asking a few scripted questions and hoping to catch someone out.
There is nothing new about this.

A fraud investigator has no right or authority to question a two people and demand its done seperately. So it sounds like you're saying they can only get caught if they self snitch
Hate to worry you but Insurance investigator's have any right and authority. As Pheonix mentioned.

Some people's bobby is winding up the good posters of PH...
It's easy to do and I must admit can be amusing at times..
If you are referring to my posts then not winding anyone up - its what can and does happen. It's easy to do and I must admit can be amusing at times..
People are clearly fussed about what I'm saying because they don't want to hear it !
If you aren't referring to me then apologies.

Looks like you're discussing this amongst yourselves, OP hasnt posted since early Tuesday morning.
And the OP's inital post on another insurance claim (which sadly hadn't been quoted) in 2022 was deleted on Wednesday morning this week.alscar said:

As Pheonix mentioned.
Just adding to this, a few years ago an insurance investigator interviewed my 18 yo son at our home. He allowed me to be present but I’m pretty sure I just let my son do the talking. It might have been because there was substantial injury in his case. And I’m not sure whether he was still being investigated for “Due Caution” (or whatever the correct term is). Fortunately my son’s situation was all above board, the investigator was satisfied with what he heard and insurance paid out.As Pheonix mentioned.
It’s possible that an insurance company can’t INSIST on separate interviews but it would probably set alarm bells going if the request was declined.

Hope your son recovered fully. It’s possible that an insurance company can’t INSIST on separate interviews but it would probably set alarm bells going if the request was declined.
If you have nothing to hide then it can still be daunting but unlike ( for example ) the Post Office, these Investigators are both well trained and good !

One I know of where the insurer set up a sting involving a group of people which they said they were filming for a TV documentary. The claimant willingly took part, and in doing so exposed his claim as 100% fraudulent.lancslad58 said:

So, in summary, even if a wind up, I'm sure some people, me included have learnt something new from all the responses.
