They're not that big. A ford transit is 2360mm wide whilst the R35 is 1895mm wide. I don't see many transit vans having problems on our roads.

Milner, not sure if they're measuring the car in different places, but Ive found a number of references saying it is 2000mm wide, probably measured accross the rear if anything.

That makes it an extremely wide car compared to most cars on the road (including the bigger 4x4's), not really suited to the roads you can have a bit of fun on.

There's always one rolleyes

You want Insurance sir? certainly, that'll be at least..er...now let me see...£40000 should cover it.

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole until it's an official import...money or no money.

Having followed a tesco van over the cat and fiddle road that driving a wide vehicle doesn't preclude you from going round a corner on 2 wheels smile

This GPS limiter thing is a worry and spoils the car for me, you bought a performance car its your responsibillity how you drive it. Its a lovely car but their is far too much interference from Nissan with servicing and the GPS limiter and it looks massive in those pics an R34 is pretty big but thats massive when i first saw the pictures i though it would be pretty small.

The GPS limiter is only for Japan domestic examples to comply with their local laws.

How does he propose to sweeten Nissan so they dont treat him the same way as everyone else then? wink

This most definitely isn’t the first one in the UK, Litchfield have one I saw it in the flesh on Saturday.

It would have been the Litchfield car.

Chris Harris has driven it now, full story here http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/...

Wow - he's not easy to impress and this is his conclusion:

"I want one now! If you can’t wait for a UK car some time next year then you’ll need to personally import one like this, which was brought in by Litchfield Imports. But believe me: if you're after the ultimate performance weapon of the moment, there is every reason to.

This is the best value performance car not on sale in the UK."
