I had a white one of these lent to me for 1/2 a day back in the mid 90's. V12, slow as hell and drank fuel like you would not believe. Guy was using it as a wedding car and my lasting impression was as any sort of driving machine it was crap.
Then it wasn't set up right or was v. tired. These things could shift, although because of the refinement they didn't give that impression.(is the Minder theme tune in your head yet?)
well i bloosdy is now ta !
When i used to clear garages for a garage rental company i towed away a V12 manual that was dumped on a site, sold it for £500, the bloke came removed the box and bits then left me the rest to weigh in
Never knew back then the manual was so rare

Yes but they are rare and if I remember correctly couldn't take the torque from the V12 causing early failures.
The getrag will handle providing the driver is not bent on smashing the gearbox, my conversion has done over 25k miles and is still sweet, no problems.
I also remember my car had two 10 gallon tanks. How many cars today can you fill with petrol and add over 10% to their value (well for the next 300 miles at least)?

Top shed....has a 6cyl one in uni and it was just fantastic.
There's a 12 cyl one for sale close to me....looks mint but there's enough metal in my garage at the minute!

Daimler V12 Waftability with some TVR Griffith straight through rear exhaust pipes to replace the standard silencers and a couple of Tuscan racer K+N air filters (which, incedently are Jag fitment anyway) to give the V12 it's singing voice ..

I once bought a "cheap" XJS V12 one night from a bloke down the pub because it was a little damp (actually I think it had been parked in a lake). It was a lovely drive though.
I remember taking a mate for a spin in it and in little over an hour later it had nearly emptied both tanks of fuel !
Would I have another one - hell yeah
