Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc? (Vol. 3)

I'm guessing that the average viewer of his channel has the attention span of a mayfly, hence the constant need to rinse and repeat car purchases
Talking of which, isn't it time SOL jacked it all in?.. he just seems to shill any product nowadays, even if it's not car related
This is true. It has been mentioned the whole buying, exhaust, wrapping, modding, 5 things I love/hate and finally a series on selling.Talking of which, isn't it time SOL jacked it all in?.. he just seems to shill any product nowadays, even if it's not car related
I want to see SOL do well with his Murci, it could be a decent niche for him. In a world of latest and greatest super cars on most channels, he could appeal to those of us who grew up more with that generation of supercar. I will never forget Clarkson reviewing that on TG many moons ago, I was a kid and it stuck in my mind ever since.
I suppose JayEmm has that covered, alongside Harry’s Garage. As I’ve got older they have turned into my favourite channels. Still a fan of Shmee as I’ve been following him since he got his R8 and to see how far he has come is awesome.

Long time thread lurker here, and yes I have read through all 3 volumes!
This is what I don’t understand about Archie. He sold his GT3 RS to go racing, I get that. It frees up capital etc. Surely the RS is still reasonably holding its value compared to the other cars he has on the way? I would have thought the RS6 and and M8C will plummet in value after a year or thereabouts, so why get out of the 911 to then get into a few others. They aren’t cheap cars either! Maybe someone can shed some light or I’m missing something here
Wouldn't this post be better on his video comments ?This is what I don’t understand about Archie. He sold his GT3 RS to go racing, I get that. I'm really struggling to watch SOL now. I have zero idea what he's doing, and it's coming across like he's in the same boat. There was a random gym video, then a Lambo update, a review of an Aventador that he'd buy but isn't, couple of loud exhaust videos and now an electric Peugeot economy challenge that appears to just be a boring drive and a stop off to buy a shirt. No cohesion at all between the videos. Just had a look back at the Michelin colab videos from the tail end of last year, the views are shockingly bad - only 19k on the final endurance challenge!

I have a mate that's a bit like this very creative always coming up with ideas but lacks the execution and gets bored and moves onto the next idea before finishing the last. I though the gym video was a bit random. Nobody cares. Gyms are soul destroying for the people that are in them we don't want to watch a video about it. Paul has a likeable presenting style he should ditch the lambo/gym/ooh look a cat videos and do car reviews. He has the profile to access new stuff. Just do that. Youtubers actually owning cars to do content on that model surely has to be dead now? It's really frustrating with Paul as he's so likeable and watchable you just want to shake him into sorting the channel out.

Harry, Henry, Pistonheads, Petrolicious, Tyrrell's, Smith & Sniff, Carpervert, Autocar, SupercarDriver. End.
I agree with this 100% (Harry’s my favourite) but I’ve also just starting watching Ratarossa’s channel. Seems a genuine guy that looks after his older model Ferrari’s.
I think Harry (of "Harry's Garage") has two advantages over the full time Youtubers, he can focus on making quality videos rather than being obliged to put out content every day or two, and because he isn't running around like a blue arsed fly making daily videos he can have a lifestyle where he can do genuine road trips rather than shipping the cars around in a truck.
I see on Instagram he's done a roadtrip in a mk1 Lotus Esprit, hopefully it's been filmed.

Yes, released just two videos ago. The video is getting some of his highest views which is great as he isn’t likely to stop now he’s seeing the results.I see on Instagram he's done a roadtrip in a mk1 Lotus Esprit, hopefully it's been filmed.
He’s getting 3/4 times more views than SOL but a third of subscribers.

I think the difference between him and people like SOL is simply the fact that he does it for fun, to document and share his trips etc whereas people like SOL do it for money, that's their only income really so they end up running dry with content, trying to hard etc to release videos and get views.I see on Instagram he's done a roadtrip in a mk1 Lotus Esprit, hopefully it's been filmed.
Harry just shares his collection etc and can make what ever he wants.
Harry has the right balance between his own cars, road trips and new car reviews. Given he is well respected in the industry it seems he can be very honest about the cars and not be worried about being kicked off the press car list unlike others who don't seem to want to criticise anything.
I think it's reflected in his videos that he does it for fun but he is clearly getting some financial incentive with his sponsors and ad revenue now his views are dramatically increased. I guess it all helps given the income of farmer can be very up and down due to good or bad harvests.
I just hope he keeps making the content he does as his channel is one of the best out there.
