Check out the ITV4 coverage of the TT. Looks great (and I’m here on the IOM).
Watching it from a different island in the Irish Sea

I like that a lot Gavia, and (like many others I suspect) could not agree more with your sentiments

Are you being sponsored by the RAF? Much cooler than Red Bull as they do actually give you (us) wings!

About the only way to make a superbike really feel a bit tardy.....

I once nearly bought a red 308GTS (carbed obviously) but what stopped me ultimately was that the house we had moved to didn't have a garage and I wasn't happy to use a cover. At the time the only longterm pal I hang around with said "What the fk do you want one of them for?" to which my default answer was "Magnum had one".
Magnum only borrowed the Ferrari.

It belonged to Robin (who also owned the house).

Magnum was a freeloading tt.

I seem to recall Barry Sheene giving someone the bird (may have been two fingers) behind his back during a televised race many moons ago biggrin

Disappointed with ITV's coverage of the Superbike race there was the mother of all battles between 8-12th positions, they were swapping from sector to sector we've just watched & holy disappointed with the lack of coverage for the privateers.

Also it seems the friend of the guy that totalled his GT3 RS also came a cropper but not to the same extent (up on the mountain
again) he hit the jump at the Gooseneck (while chasing an Aprilia RSV4) landed wrong & ran along the bank edge causing a fair lick of damage to his Huracan.

The RSV4 was fine hehe & unharmed as yet another high performance driver found out how good showroom bikes are.

What happened with the GT3 RS ? I remember the group of Supercars well from last year. They would often be seen at May Hill around 7am which is around the time I'd do a lap most days. There was a McLaren as part of the group in addition to the Lambo and white (if I recall) Porsche

They used to go across the mountain pretty quickly, but on the loop back from the Creg to the Gooseneck via the Lacey/Ramsey road they couldn't shake off my 98 VFR800 though ! All good fun, and general thumbs up stuff

It ended up on it's roof the driver was fine apparently he hit a bump that put him into a tank slapper he couldn't gather up & in time, which meant him ending up in a field on it's roof, he was having some fun with a S1000RR, but everyone stopped & made sure he was okay.

I'm hoping to get a ride in a Radical today (once the masses have calmed down from Mad Sunday) to feel the effect of proper aero, he's raised the ride height & softend the car, he's been over on a number of occasions & has been tweaking the car for the Mountain section.

That clearly didn’t happen as a GT3 RS on standard suspension will easily cope with anything that the TT can throw at it. Or at least that’s what we’ve been told many times on here wink

Enjoy the run in the Radical.

Turned out it belonged to Higgins in the end. And the house.

A-ha. But did they ?

It's right up there with enigmas such as Stonehenge, The Loch Ness Monster and Bigfoot that one.

Thanks for the info. My wife and I had everything booked last June to be back this year for the 5th time, but illness in a family member has prevented it. Enjoy your stay, it's quite possibly the best thing we've done and we've got Manx Radio TT on here every day in East Sussex

Radical ride will surely be epic !

I'm hoping so, the TT is good but personally I prefer the road races NW200/Skerries etc, the atmosphere is electric at the moment, practice has gone great & the superbike race was frustrating but I think the Supersport & Superstock races are going to be epic.

Not done the other Roads meetings, but we do the TT as a couple thing, rather than lads, and really love the Island. Superbike race great result for Michael and TYCO given awful event during practice week, and Dean Harrison's 134 + utterly remarkable. Have a pint in the Creek, Peel for us, one of our favourite spots
