Real deal and owned by Joe Macari

Is that at the Wimbledon Sunday monthly meet?
Yes, 1st Sunday of month on Wimbledon Common. Joe Macari is often there with something exotic.
Thanks Woody.GT, Adam. and Psd30. PH never fails to come up with the goods!

What a busy, bloated looking thing with comical wheels. It's almost as if the designers were petrified of leaving a single bare space on the body.
I’m with you on that. Early RSs were lovely, understated things. This looks like a schoolboy has been let loose on the design.
I'm absolutely obsessed with these at the moment, bloody love 'em. I grew up with Max Power & Fast and Furious, and now Porsche make a car that'd fit right in biggrin

To be fair, the bodywork looks slightly more subtle on a black car. This one is incredible in my eyes...

Absolutely adore these

Form meets function, the GT RS cars are road legal track cars. And the first ever iteration of the GT3RS were quite flamboyant when compared to a standard 911. Of course a car that was designed in the early 2000s is going to look more "subtle" due to the limitations in design and technology.

The current GT3 has a less aggressive design.
The current GT3 has a less aggressive design than the GT3RS? Wow, who'd have thunk it?

And yes an early 2000s car is going to look more subtle, but it also bore a semblance in side profile and silhouette to a 911. This generation of GT3RS looks nothing like a 911 from side-on such are the number of awkward protuberances and lumps of plastic hanging off it. Compare this 992 to even the 997.2 GT3 RS and it looks absolute gobste.

I love that, but it needs a roof rack and headlamp guards. And to never, ever be cleaned after being driven in mud, lots.

It's my lottery win, drive young family to ski slopes with ski kit on roof, whilst someone else follows with the luggage, car.

That or a V12 GTC4 Lusso, but I reckon the 911 would be more fun, if less practical.

I know this is probably sacrilege but I would rather have this 330 GTC for a fraction of the cost of a 250 and as a bonus the 330 doesn't have the brakes and suspension of an old cart like the 250 whistle
I watched the video of Tiff driving this recently and now it's on sale on this very site (no connection and not on commission etc etc)
Absolutely with you on that! The 330 GTC is such a good looking thing, a far better car to drive (or so I read) and imho cooler, because it is the underdog. cool

And ones with fitting instructions - they look about as straight as a dog's hind leg

Apparently there’s been an issue with the roof rack and the other accessories, so customer cars are being delivered without, and them dealer fitted later.

Completely, utterly agree. That’s why this and a DB6 is on my euro win list.

I seem to remember a lot of my Corgi and Matchbox cars having racks for skis on them and wondering why my Dad couldn’t fit them to our procession of family runabouts.

Those car fantasies cloud9 But ultimately they are just that fantasies....

I have gone skiing with a ski rack on my 911, although just with the wife. Now having a young family, I still have the 911 which performs exceptional as the occasional sports car with kids in the back, but ultimately, a Range Rover or the like is just soooooo much better at performing family and/or skiing duties, etc.

It is a good thing that most porsche owners are a fan of the current GT3RS. You might not a fan of the design but remember, form meets function. Improved aero, reduced drag, weight reduction.

Someone did put together a AWD Vanquish stunt car for the ice driving scenes in Die Another Day. The V12 was swapped for a Ford Modular V8 (Mustang/F150/Ford GT) which provided sufficient room for the front diff.
