Reading your books took me back to our Lotus Cortina; £995 as I think it said in the book, bought I think again in 69, taken to Nice on a high speed run for our holiday.
I remember my parents swapping driving, and mum exclaiming, that's the first time I've driven a car at over 100mph.
Sadly sold in 71 after my father passed away for around £640..
Fond memories though.

Michael,
Good to meet you last night albeit briefly.
Thank you for your time - I promise I won’t tell anybody you arrived in a Tesla…

Back again after a short break and another book reprint to satisfy demand !

https://www.letthemstare.co.uk/product/let-them-st...

Please buy !

Cars again...this recently surfaced photo of my Miura visiting friends in Long Melford, Suffolk in the summer of 1974..only 50 years ago
Spot the ex-wife extreme left !
Since those days the car has become one of the most recognisable Miuras around..must be the orange stripes over lime green?
Since I sold it in 1976 for £8,000 it has remained in Australia. Value now about £1.5 million

A bit of an acquired taste, I'd imagine. Thank goodness for B/W photos!

Left the production line in white apparently then Supermodel Twiggy's manager, Justin de Villeneuve, asked for it to be painted Lamborghini Lime Green with orange stripes. Only 10 Miura S in RHD. Justin kept his LHD White

I have attended all the Concours events at the Royal Palaces since 2012

The first year at Windsor Castle this handsome guy was a McLaren Ambassador
I had no idea who he was !

This was one year before Superman hit our screens
And here he was.. Henry CavilL
Friendly and chatty especially with my wife and daughters !

Hi everyone, I've been searching for a copy of "Let them stare ...again" I've recently bought my 996 turbo and it's actually the 996 turbo on the cover of Let them stare again! Wondering if anyone is willing to part ways with a copy? Thought it'd be a nice little bit of history to go with the car.

(Wouldn't let me quote your reply, sorry)

Absolutely happy to buy that too! But, that doesn't have my exact car on the cover laugh Not asking for free, happy to either donate or pay whoever has one and they can also donate the money too if they'd like to of course!

Following on from the well attended Stirling Moss memorial service at Westminster Abbey this week I have found some photos of a lunch I arranged in 2011 at a pub in Danbury near JD classics in Maldon where he was the morning guest

The invitation

The lunch attended by 30 Lotus owners. Susie Moss was in charge of the raffle. The late, great Alan Henry looks on. He interviewed Moss at JD

A thank you email..so sweet

If you are in the mood to buy the latest edition of my book..about 80 left and that will be it I reckon !
