Private Hire Taxi Brakes Suddenly Twice - Manchester Dash Cam - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0T6KiP07vRw
There HAS to be something thats gone on before this..... no WAY is a taxi just gonna start swerving and braking just because he's bored!!

JJ
Well, he brakes and swerves out as he thinks he's going to get stuck behind the white car (traffic to the left on the junction) when the white car brakes; but he doesn't so then has to cut/swerve back into the left hand lane before the traffic island. I can't see any sign of high beams from DCW at this point, but the sound is muted so I suspect a long blast of horn and maybe some hand signs caused the quick "did I miss something in my blind spot?!" tap on the brakes, followed by the angry brake check when they realised DCW instead.
It states what happened in the video's description.

Adam said "I beeped my horn as he was driving recklessly and cut back in front of me after leaving the lane. Was clearly in a rush but had no problem slamming his brakes on and then swearing at me."

Unimpressed with the structural integrity of that bollard, it serves no purpose being that weak.

Should have just undertaken the MLM (but with a bit more gusto to stop them speeding up to block) and carried on going - stopping was stupid

It doesn't give you the right to break them.

Would you move left, in a 40 section of roadworks, while there is on on slip, and presumably traffic trying to join, possibly in your blind spot, while you're catching slower traffic in the left lane, that you'll have to move out for in a few seconds anyway?

Without the previous couple of minutes there's nothing there to show the cam driver doing anything silly. But plenty to show the Jeep being silly.

I love angry scottish people. I doubt there's any history here just a knobby little man driving a jeep.

Jeep is a knob but DCW ALWAYS escalates the issue, because the camera is there.

Should just have cams fitted as standard on all cars, without removable storage and only save clips when certain sensors are triggered.

It's becoming a hobby for some people and it's making their driving more confrontational.

This. But with typical PH fashion, the dash cam driver will be mocked for not doing 90 in lane 2.

Based on the footage in the video, I don't see the cammer doing anything wrong. Jeep driver is a total bellend for the dangerous manoeuvre, and a weapons grade moron for stopping his car and blocking the outside lane of a dual carriageway to discuss it.

I don't get the self adopted road police in average speed zones. Typically an indicated 5mph under, anything from 7-10mph under in reality, whilst average of 52,53, maybe 54 is doable in a 50. I'm not advocating pushing those limits. But these knobs wouldn't block a normal motorway lane 3 at 65mph, so why do it here?

The SUV was a dick, and stopping was particularly stupid, but it's easy to understand passing these wkers on the left whilst they are determined to impede everybody's progress on their own terms. The highway code is clear: move left if not overtaking, there are no caveats.

Edited to add: watch the vid, dashcammer blatantly speeds up to block the SUV. Strange move for someone hellbent on determining the limit is 40mph. He also states "BOTH lanes are 40mph, there are no fast / slow / overtaking on this route" which I'm sure well know is misinformed twaddle demonstrating the idiocy of Mr Cammer.

Not moving left whilst not passing
Accelerating to prevent the pass, making the situation more dangerous
Being a knob (this one may not stick in court) biggrin

I agree.

It's unacceptable that it stopped the driver from proceeding any further, and they had to reverse off of it.
