I've absolutely no idea what's going on there. Making my teeth itch...
My (very similar) car winds the head restraint thing up when moving the seat (sometimes). I have no idea why. bolidemichael said:

Same same here. Cellar needs re-stocking, too. M20 Junction 11a has my name on it now.

Excellent nblr, I've still got to make that journey myself, as discussed previously. How did it behave on the journey? By the way, there's a campaign to assess the health of the insect population in the UK, by counting a small portion of carcasses, more info here.
Funnily enough, there are barely any on my car after a late evening country drive on the A44 (from the M5) to Leominster.

It was a nice easy drive, but the A9 gives only a few chances to stretch the legs unfortunately so could be easily done in anything with a cruise control. I did the A74 to Carlisle and back last weekend which was more like it, in the ahem 90+ kind of area. Interesting about the bug counters, too late for me now though. It wasn’t too bad until we hit Fife, but dusk is usually worse for midges so that’s probably where I hit a lot of them. The windscreen was noticeably harder to clean the last 20 miles after the forth bridge.
