Yes, made me wonder too of course. This was in Greenwich I think.
Here's another which could be of interest to you, not quite as extreme though. Off the road since 2012, so did manage 16 years on the road.
There was a Porsche Boxster 08 plate that was abandoned, MOT expired 2011, ill try and trawl from itHere's another which could be of interest to you, not quite as extreme though. Off the road since 2012, so did manage 16 years on the road.
I believe these two have now moved, but this image from google is from September 2018. If I flick back through streetview I can see that they did not move and inch for nearly 3.5 years. Going back even further to 2014, the black one can be seen in a much better state than shown. Various other old cars come and go in various streetview images over the years, probably belonging to the same house.

Just checked it, it’s a petrol Auto, mega rare
Doesn’t sound like a good combination in 1992, a petrol engine with a lack of torque and a slushmatic? Must have been hateful to drive Edited by martin mrt on Friday 3rd May 02:01
Always liked the smiley Transits too, they were good workhorses, but I wouldn’t have this one for free!
The game has moved on. The new automatic gearboxes (Merc 9G-Tronic) and petrol engines mean that it doesn’t sound that bad of a combo anymore, but holy crap that combo looked ste in 1992.

Agreed! These old MK4's in petrol format used the 2.0 SOHC pinto lump, which in a motor of this size, coupled to a very dimwitted autobox (3speed if memory is correct) literally couldn't pull you out of bed... The diesels were bad enough. But the Mk4 Pre-smileys were a very good truck. Much more dependable than my mk7!
I’ve just checked. Transits used the “Economy” variant of the TL20 low compression variant of the Pinto engine. It dated to 1969/1970.Used all the way up to the 1994 Transit. Engine codes NAT, NAV, NAW, NAX, NBA
It produced a measly 58 hp
And a 3 speeder?!!!?!!
Jesus Christ!!!!

Spotted in Roquetas de Mar, southern Spain. No MOT since 2011, doesn’t look to have moved for a while
Regular thing so my Father in law told me. Buy a cheap car / van over here to move your stuff to your retirement home. Then run it round for a bit until it breaks, then dump it. He bought a Citroen van that he used for a few trips, then parked it up in a field with the other abandoned ex-pat cars. DoctorX said:
This is ridiculous.Possibly the most ridiculous we’ve seen on this thread, overtaking the Boxster that was abandoned on purchase due to the bloke being locked up and the 17 plate Fiesta covered in moss with 12 miles on the clock.
We need updates on these

I’ve lived here six or seven years and have never seen it move. It really has dropped off the motoring map and did so very early on in its life. Perhaps the owner actually wanted a manual?
Took a few more snaps, mainly of the greenery.

Check out these 2 which I found languishing in a London car park. Originally posted on the classics left to die thread

According to the MOT history, neither have moved for a long time and both have less than 20k on the clock!

Well, that's a W126 S Class, not a 260E so someone's typed the wrong data in at the MOT station. Sad - that shape of S Class was possibly Merc's finest hour in the last 40 years.
Keeping on the theme of mouldy Mercs....an S500 - some well heeled CEO would have been wafting about in that a decade ago. Terrible wheels, saggy suspension, bad tints, what an ignominious end.
Most of them looked tired and dated by the time they were 6, with rust breaking through, yellowing headlights, and shabby rubber trim. Lightly used 320i parked up against a wall at my local garage. Last MOTd 4 years ago but didn't appear in this spot until mid last year. Flat tyres, green at the edges, mouldy interior and blocked in by other rusting hulks.
Put me off the 320i again at least, I’d still buy a 6 cylinder

Those 320i engines in the E9x are trouble. I had one. OH got it from a BMW dealer at 25k miles. I didn’t pay much attention. Promptly seized and died on the A41 a week later with a multitude of bonging going on, oil pressure faults and some other stuff I can’t remember. Taken back to BMW, who originally tried to argue they wanted to repair it, but I didn’t want to see it again as I had already realised the stealer had fleeced her over and it was going to be trouble, charging 12k for a 6 year old poverty spec car. It quickly appeared to me why the car had gone through owners quickly.

What is wrong with BMW that if an engine has anything other than 6 cylinders they totally fk it up. Timing chain issues (and plenty of others) on their four bangers, and everything that can go wrong with an engine does go wrong with their V8, V10, and V12 efforts. Meanwhile the sixes are powerful, smooth, efficient, and last ages.Put me off the 320i again at least, I’d still buy a 6 cylinder
