570bhp GTR
505bhp C6 Z06
Power to weight ratios all roughly equal - GTR gave the illusion of being faster due to turbo midrange and fast gear changes but I suspect the Z06 was faster in-gear. quote]
For what it is worth, I was chasing a GTR this weekend and my 530bhp Z06 was identical in terms of acceleration from exiting the corner at around 50mph all the way to the end of the main straight which I was clocking around 150mph...around the rest of the track I destroyed him.
I'm not surprised at all - if he'd been swapping cogs as well you would have been faster on the straights also. When you tell people your Corvette handled better than your GTR they look at you as though you are nuts but it's true - accurate, flat handling like a big ol' Elise whereas the GTR always felt heavy and attempting to trail brake was terrifying. GTR had more grip - that's about it. 505bhp C6 Z06

Fiesta ST 200hp. (Mr200). Seems very tame after reading through this.
Yet the ST is probably just as fun, or more so, than many of the big bhp monsters. A lot of supercars are a little disappointing when you drive them or try to live with them.Vladimir said:
Nigel, holy st!!! Was it driveable?!
Oh yes... Until six months ago, it was my daily driver, doing 30,000 miles a year. Engine has now done about 280,000 miles (although the original shell went the way of most Italian cars)Its very tractable - no torque steer to speak of. Understeer is almost non-existent (Quaife ATB fitted). It'll do mid to high 30s mpg when cruising, but it will also run a 12.3 quarter mile and an estimated 175mph top end
1947 Bentley Mark 6 with a 6.9 litre rolls royce engine from the 70s.
Car was completely rebuilt by my dad and it is a 2 seater sports car now. I would say the engine produces about 250hp. although the car drives like a tank due to the weight, but what a sound.
Also speed six bentley which is 6.5l but that is only about 190hp..
so my current octavia vrs is probably about 5 times faster at 200hp
