Parking Next to the Same Model
Discussion
I love this thread. It's comforting to know there are so many people as sad and weird as myself.
Even when I'm driving one of the most common 'white goods' cars, it brightens my day to park next to one in similar colour & spec. Obviously this is magnified when it's something less common.

Couldn't either of you park in the marked bays? (second photo)skyrover said:
Okay not side by side... but parked next to "Vera's" land rover on set
Had a good poke around her car, very interesting. The car was spotted in a farmyard by the director pretty much "as is", who promptly knocked on the owners door and bought it from him on the spot.
All of the rust and corrosion was painted on by special effects artists
The car is actually automatic as the actress who play's Vera (Brenda Blethyn), can't drive a manual car, so the mechanics had to fit a box from a discovery.
It is known to be terribly unreliable, with the gearbox in one instance having to be swapped out at the side of the road on it's way from set to set.
