What's the best-looking hatchback ever?

Didn't Steve Cropley, of Autocar fame bang on about his love of a Yellow/gold one when they were introduced? Actually, a good design and the tail-lights later became a design cliche. In retrospct, were they decent cars but bought on a budget by non PH types? Drove new Punto recently and it was much better than general pub bore image would suggest ( price taken into consideration.)
I had a Yellow/Gold Punto GT, loved that car, I had it mapped to around 165bhp, it was really quick, and I abused it from the day I bought it until the day I sold it (4 years or so) it never missed a beat, apart from a coil pack and regular servicing, still maintain it was one of the most fun cars I've owned, and I've owned a lot more expensive and more powerful cars since then. But back on topic, it has to be the Escort Cosworth surely?

If we are talking hatchbacks, can we ignore the one that is much-vaunted as being the first hatchback (to the UK market at least)?
Ladels and JellySpoons, I give you...

Ah, my first car, although the Countryman had a split folding arrangement next to the standard car's drop=down boot a la Mini.Ladels and JellySpoons, I give you...

However, the Innocenti A40S was a true hatchback and had neater front indicators

However, I'm going to take issue with the Integrale, always considered boxy and certainly lacklustre in standard form.
I think the Chevette actually looked much better.

The sibling Kadett loses out as the front was flatter and the high performance GT/E was a coupe (which Vauxhall never got, sadly).
In addition, I know it wasn't great to drive but the original Escort Mk III looked fabulous as an XR3i...as its popularity attested.
