I really don’t get the obsession with messing around with number plates. Private plates, mis-spaced plates, removed plates, smoked plates, it’s all pathetic. They’re a legal requirement, not a fashion statement. Use the reg the car came with in the legal format and stop being an attention seeking moron.

Seriously, why the need to personalise such a thing? Is your life that empty and your desire for someone to look at you that strong? Get a grip.

And to the inevitable chav tts who will be along with the “the world would be a dull place if everyone did everything the same” argument, my rebuttal remains the same. It’s. A. Number plate. Grow up.
What’s it got to do with you exactly if someone wants to remove their number plate. It always amazes me the whinging old bloaters on here who never list a garage, obviously have fk all interesting to say about cars, likely wouldn’t know one end of a nut, from a bolt. It’s laughable.

I haven’t got a plate on two of mine, and tbh, you can kiss the fattest part of my backside if you don’t like it smile My life isn’t empty, it’s filled with cars. What you need to to Robbo is to live and let live. Be less of a judgemental tt.

I’ll also take your legal argument, I trust you never speed, park on yellows, or otherwise? I mean you wouldn’t want to be a hypocrite right?

In the meantime join all the deranged in the number plates thread. They’ll be right up your street, sad, boring old whingers more concerned with others than their own deeply boring lives.

Mug.
To be fair, lots of private plates do look st and most cars look like chav chariots with the number plate removed.

Depends what you mean by 'private plate.'

Legal and proper private plates are perfectly acceptable to most normal people.

But at the other end of the spectrum are Illegal C12APPY so called 'private plates' which appeal to those Council types who aspire to criminal activities to fuel their desperate narcissistic cravings and fk the law attitude.

Big difference.

Run of the mill stuff, I completely agree. But in the eyes of the number plate police all are not worthy.

Lol. Different worlds.
Yep

Had the pleaure of chatting to him last year, I wouldn't say he's a 'chav' or that involved in crime really. He's also likely to have at least ten times the money of some of the very bitter individuals on here who like to label everything, mostly which they can't afford.

biggrin

But presumably the halfwit displaying

J9MMO

on his X5 paid whatever price was needed to buy it then illegally desperately butcher it into what he delusionally thought spelt his name. rolleyes

Illustrating once more if you cannot afford to pay for a proper legal unbutchered 'private' plate don't bother.

Unless you want to go down the moronic Council route.

That's not on the road, so doesnt need a front plate.

It is, however, a hideous colour.
I’m sure he’ll lose a lot of sleep over that rofl It’s a road car, was driven there and many places. Has a rear plate, but no front....the horror. In fact his tdf didn’t sport a front plate either if I recall?

Why does it bother you, with supposedly a huge garage of decent cars? I really don’t get it. It’s irrational. Like being upset because people drive Porsche’s?

So do you seriously think

J9MMO for example

looks a cool dude with such an illegal C124PPY plate?

Porsches aren't fake they are very real and legal btw unlike a C124PPY and butchered plate.

Plenty of Porsche’s with private plates. The difference is, I don’t look at them, it doesn’t register.

In fairness he's not wrong, number plate or not, that colour is awful.

The Alfa Giulia is an average 4 door saloon. No plate to look good? Seriously?
Shirley the gentleman with the Giulia is just being silly

Following is the factory plate mount (plinth) for an Alfa 4C
There is an OEM solution for the Giulia also (I don’t have access to a recent version of ePer)
Just as there has been for all Alfa’s since the beginning of time

As an aside, I personally think the 4C looks better without a front plate and surprisingly my ‘73 GTJunior is currently sporting a slimline plate in the centre of the bumper (under the scudetto) - where it will stay until I delete the bumpers (or they fall off because rusty mounts / racecar). My GiuliettaQV and Duetto plates are to the side, as intended.

I would have thought anyone who doesn't have a front plate could potentially be at risk of prosecution for perverting the course of justice. If they get their picture taken by a camera van and they have no front plate then the car cannot be easily identified.

A darker green would have worked, but that shade of green doesn't work for me.

What an odd fellow you are...May I ask how old you are, perhaps you just haven't been around long enough to be familiar with the term so it's just a lack of experience?
