If you were a millionaire.....
Discussion
I'd probably start hitting the PH Classifieds/Anamera/Jameslist etc. and start looking for the best examples of the cars I grew up loving.
First on the list would be a Rosso Corsa Testarossa, same as the one I had on my wall in poster form when I was two or three.
Then a McLaren F1, though it would depends on exactly how 'millionaire' you were, as in a single, or multi because they're all going for well over two million at the minute.
Probably add an F355 and an F50 as well.
Then hit the racing car classified sites and try and find myself an Impreza WRC, an S40 Super Tourer and a 90's Williams F1 car.
Buy something modern and practical like a B7 RS4 to use as my daily driver and that'll do me.
Though also needing a large, well specced garage to keep them in, near some wonderful roads, and some fast driving lessons and tracktime.

Several fantastic cars...
Based on what you're saying here I shall assume you're about my age (22) give or take a couple of years... Under which circumstances, why the Devil isn't a 959 on your list?Porsche's in general didn't interest me all that much until I saw the 993 GT2 in the BPR series, then I started liking them.

I thought this thread was about buying new or used cars if you were a millionaire?. I know the search feature is not working (maybe we could spend some of our millions on fixing it?), but there has got to be a generic lottery thread or ten knocking about somewhere on here.

I think I would have a couple of Italian Supercars, probably an F40 & a Diablo, a 911 GT2 (997), an Ultima GTR with a twin-turbo'd LS7, then fill my garage up with the cream of the 80's and 90's hatches/super saloons..
My Garage would include: (All mint and unmodified bar engine/chassis tuning!)
205Gti 1.9
Renault 5 Turbo
Astra GTE 16v
Uno Turbo Mk2
Detla integrale Evo 2 (Yellow!)
Series 1 & 2 Rs Turbo
Mk1 & 2 Escort Rs 2000's
Mk1 Escort Mexico
Mk2 Escort RS 1800
RS 200
3 Door Cosworth (White!)
Rs 500 Cosworth (White!)
2wd Sapphire Cosworth
4x4 Sapphire Cosworth
Big turbo Escort Cosworth
Small Turbo Escort Cosworth
E30 M3
Lotus Carlton
Clio Williams
Alfa 75 V6
SWB Audi 20v Quattro
And a few motorbikes as well, a GSX/R 750 SRAD, an Urban Tiger Fireblade, and a few other toys!
Easily pleased eh

If I won £1m...
1. Sell the current house.
2. Sell the unfinished MX5 taking a good loss, but that wouldn't matter having just won £1m.
3. Send the VX220 first to Track Club to have GT Uprights, steering arms, AP 4 pots, rear 4 pots, Quantums & Carbon buckets fitted. Then to Courtnays for an engine build and harrop supercharger, exhaust etc. This would then become my road legal silly fast track car
4. Buy a new house, £650K would be needed in the area to get somewhere with a good big garage
5. Head to Porsche and buy a 997 Turbo new & a 2 year old Boxster S
6. Head to Audi and buy a 2 year old S6 Avant.
So a mixture, the Porche Turbo I'd only get new as I'd want to spec it to my taste

Classifieds for me, would probably pick up a tidy double deck race transporter first then scour the land for some choice picks of historic racers.
Probably do the same with another rig & shop for a tasty selection of motorbikes.
No need to go crazy after that & would plan an action packed track day schedule for touring Britain & Europe.
