What's the best-looking hatchback ever?

Let me chuck this little hatchback into the mix....

Not just the best looking hatchback but one of the all-time best looking cars IMHO.
If we're looking at pure angular shopping-cart hatchbacks, the Lancia Delta posted earlier takes some beating.
What, a new mini, best looking car of all time?!![](http://thumbsnap.com/sc/1JtodMaB.jpg)

As there have been some "interesting" interpretation of a hatchback, I thought I'd chuck in my own.

It's a Z4 Coupe. ![](http://i273.photobucket.com/albums/jj204/roundozo/DSC_0055_zpsvlb1q8nj.jpg)
Coupe.
It's in the name.

2006
More powerful engines, freshened styling, and midyear introduction of a hatchback coupe mark 2006 for BMW's two-seaters.
so it must be right.More powerful engines, freshened styling, and midyear introduction of a hatchback coupe mark 2006 for BMW's two-seaters.
Smart Roadsters aren't roadsters either but the coupe also has a hatch back.

k me some of these suggestions are awful. A 1 series?!
At least it's actually what most people would recognise as a 'hatch back', not a coupe, a GT, a mid-engined homologation special or even a 'supercar' in the case of some posted.![](/inc/images/censored.gif)

Although in truth, I think some cars are really coupés and not hatchbacks in the modern sense, (e.g. E-Type, which really was a coupé version of the roadster/convertible), and some coupés are nothing more than hatchbacks (Scirocco), so I'm not too sure if the Puma fits in - I don't think I'd class it as a hatchback, myself.... even though, er, it has one...

Since I can have neither the Puma nor Racing Puma, can I have a Peugeot 205 T16 evo II?
It's sort of a lift-back...
If not, can I just have a 205 T16? Or maybe just a GTI, then.
Always thought the 205 was a well-resolved design.
Yep of course you can. How about a fire breathing one? It's sort of a lift-back...
